Mrs. Officer – (Chapter: Gun Powder and Lead)

I pulled away to quickly glance around at our surroundings and when I was sure the coast was clear, I hopped up on the car with Spencer, layed her back on the hood, and straddled her waist.

“You know, I should totally have you arrested for a false call.” I said as I pinned both hands above her head.

“Oh yeah? And how exactly do you plan to do that?” She said while tugging at the cuffs hooked to my belt.

I shuddered at all the possibilities. I then leaned back down and reclaimed Spencer’s soft lips in my own.

“Mmmm” I moaned as she slipped her hot tongue in my mouth.

We continued heavily making out on the hood of her car that is until I was interrupted by a call to my radio.

“Davies, we got a 10-71 at the HSBC bank in Culver City. Dispatch immediately.” I froze at the mention of a 10-71 and shot up off Spencer’s lap.

“Ashley, what’s wrong?” Spencer asked with so much concern.

“Uh, just a car accident.” I lied. “I have to go, but I’ll see you tonight.”

I gave Spencer a quick peck then hustled to the driver’s side of the Mustang. I immediately turned on my sirens and I couldn’t help but feel guilty as I pulled away from my confused girlfriend. There was no car accident, a 10-71 stands for a shooting, but that’s the last thing Spencer needed to know. For the first time in my life I was thanking the criminal justice system for all its codes.

“Aiden, you there?” I radioed my partner.

“Yeah, you might want to hurry over here though we already have an officer down.”

I could hear yelling and screaming in the back ground, which caused my foot to floor the gas pedal. I could feel the adrenalin pulsing through my veins as I neared the bank.

Pulling up to the blockade of police cars, I quickly got out of my car and sprinted over to Aiden.

“Thank god you’re alright.” I sighed in relief as I squatted behind a patrol car next to Aiden.

    Aiden was completely silent.

“What’s going on in there Aid?”

“It was a bank robbery turned into a shooting. Two civilians are dead and Aaron got shot four times to the chest.” He replied gravely. “We have no idea how many are being held hostage.”
