    Lot’s of twists and turns

    Glen: “Just keep them busy.” I nod wordlessly against his chest and try to find the strength to pull away from his embrace. He must be a Carlin because when we do eventually part, I feel stronger. He got that from Spencer. “Here.” He says as he pulls the hem of his t-shirt up and wipes away my tears.

    Ashley: “Thanks.” I say through a laugh.

    Glen: “I’ll be back soon.” And he’s gone. And I don’t watch him go. I don’t want to see his excitement as he races down the steps and runs over to his car. Cause a part of me knows that I’d try and stop him then, cause it wouldn’t be what his sister would want. Well maybe I’m tired of giving Spencer everything she wants.

    I stare at the door and my shoulders slump- I could never be that tired.

    But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m selfish and after all, Glen’s her brother and if that’s what he wants to do…well who am I to stop him? I swallow down the guilt I feel for letting him go and approach the door.

    I should knock but I don’t. I’m not expected. When I called Spencer as I was leaving King High I said it was just to hear her voice. She accepted it and then I quickly got off the phone. I would have loved to keep talking to her as I drove here, but it hurt too much to hear her voice and not see her face. I just need to see her.

    I shouldn’t be here. She’s working things out with her mother. But I’ve always been selfish and I need to see Spencer. So I push open the door and I hear her voice floating from a place I can’t see. She’s talking with excitement and her mother is chuckling along to the story.

    Spencer: “…But I wasn’t really ready yet…although in retrospect I totally was, but at the time it felt like I should wait so I said I wasn’t ready yet and she said that it didn’t matter because she would wait for me and then told everyone that she had a girlfriend and the whole school wanted to know who but out of respect for me she didn’t but she told our friends and they were all like ‘but Spencer’s not your girlfriend, Ashley?’ and she told them no because she knew I wasn’t ready but it really didn’t take me very long to figure out that I was actually ready because she’s so amazing and then we were together and every day it just keeps getting better and better, like mom, seriously, our fights aren’t even fights they are like ‘um, no,’ and I’ll be like ‘uh, yeah,’ and then she looks so pretty and then in my head I’m all like ‘yeah, she’s right,’ or whatever and somehow we’ll reach an understanding and work through it and everything is perfect!” Paula is chuckling again.

    3. FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUCK!!!! I knew there was a reason I stayed up to this ungodly hour! Yes, it’s to yell at you Stix. Cliffhanger? I’m hanging on with my fingernails and raidly losing my grip. What the hell do you think you’re playing at? ….Other then that it was bloody brilliant. Gushing Spencer was cute, grandmother hitting on gage very funny but slightly disturbing, car seat trauma…..who the fuck invents those things anyway and Ashley, you’d better not hurt Ashley or we’re falling out….be warned missy!!

    6. Jail yet again??? They just gave that town an economic boost with all that bail money. Grandma Claudia is hilarious … and creepy … but Gage IS hot so can you blame her? I said that your last chapter was deliciously evil but your cliffhanger here is just plain evil! Evil! Why must you leave it there? I’m scared, I felt like I was reading KHK all of a sudden (update for that soon-ish?). I’m not going to be able to stop thinking about it so please come back quickly and fix it. Spencer needs to get over her snit and realize that it’s not hunger pangs but her Ashley-sense tingling like crazy! Go save your girl! p.s.     7. ok, wtf. This was a good chapter, but why the fuck did you have to leave it there? Ooh, I just thought of something. What if they get into a one on one brawl and Spencer sees and its like the whole Ashley/Carmen fight thing. Hmm? C’mon, you owe us. I mean, you haaaaad to leave it there. Damn the suspense!!

    22. What the hell is he doing in there?! I’m sure somebody else that they ruined that day, told him. Ashley knows how to take care of herself, so she should be alright. He would be stupid to attack her, with what they have just done to a good number of people in the town. I hope Ashley just goes off and beats him damn near to death. What I am thinking is that Spencer will feel bad about how she was treating Ash in the car and comes back to see if she’s ok, or somebody comes back to see if she’s okay. Or maybe 1 of there contacts in town, spotted Kevin at the hotel and shot a text or call to Gage. I love this story. Please update again soon.
