Lucky Me – (Chapter: Take Me Out)
I then noticed a familiar brunette. She was looking over at us from across the room. She got up and walked over to our table.
“Hi, Alex,” I said to her.
“Hello, Spencer. Fancy seeing you here, in this company,” Alex wasn’t my friend, but I knew her a little. She was out, one of the few in this town. “Why are you here?”
“Uh…” I had no clue what to say.
“She’s here with me,” Kelly saved me.
“Oh? She’s with you? Congrats!”
“Are you here with someone?” Kelly changed the subject.
“I’m here with my new girl, Ashley.” Alex then turned and called back to the table where she had been sitting. I noticed another brunette sitting there and when Alex called she got up and came over.
“Hello, I’m Ashley Davies,” the unfamiliar girl said when she got to our table she looked at me for several seconds then glanced around the table, “and you are?”
“I’m Spencer and this is Kelly, Lily and Carmen.” I told her pointing to each as I said their names.
“Nice to meet you guys!” Ashley said, focusing back on me.
“And you as well!”
“Wait a second! Ashley Davies? As in the rock star?” Lily asked her.
“Yup, that’s me.”
“OMG! It’s so cool to meet you!” Lily exclaimed but then,” But what are you doing in this little Ohio town?”
“Uh, I met this pretty girl who told me about this wonderful town and I just had to see it.”
“Oh!” Lily and the rest of us were surprised. But I wasn’t quite sure if this new girl was telling the whole truth.
Okay, this little blonde is gorgeous! I just can’t stop staring, and getting lost in those deep blues. Opps, I think I just licked my lips. I felt a light shove which tore my eyes away from the eyes. I looked over at my “girlfriend”. This Alex chick was just some girl I picked up outside this little town. But now here in front of me was this girl I could really be with and love.
But when I looked back at the table I saw the blue eyed beauty, Spencer, holding hands with one of the other’s at the table. I think her name was Kelly and I guessed they were together.
“So Ashley, how long are you here?” Spencer asked me.
“I’m not sure.”
This new girl was eyeing my girl. I didn’t like that at all. I mean seriously, who did she like she was? She just met Spence and now she couldn’t look away! I grabbed a hold of Spencer’s hand and the look on Ashley’s face showed she wasn’t thrilled, good. I saw Alex bump Ashley again to get her attention.
“I think we should be going now,” Alex told us and then grabbed Ashley’s arm and pulled her away.
Once they left I said, “Well that was different.”
“Very,” Spencer said, it seemed as though she wasn’t really there.
