    Loving Annabelle, Alternate Ending

One look at Simone’s face and eyes tell her she was not wrong in her assumption and they finally both give in to the emotion and the passion that has been building between them all year.

    (Sex scene)

Kat still smarting from Annabelle’s rejection and generally pissed off at what she sees as Simone’s continuous picking on her in class, realizes what must have transpired the night before when Collins remarks that Annabelle never came back to the dorm and seizes the opportunity to make mischief for both Annabelle and Simone.

Kat approaches Mother Emaculata faking her concern for the two women and informs her of Annabelle’s absence from the dorm room after the dance ended.

Mother Emaculata goes to Simone’s quarters and without waiting to be invited in after knocking on the door enters, to find the two women asleep and blissfully unaware of the impending wrath of the frustrated and jealous nun.

Waking them she tells Simone to come to her office at once. Simone with her heart weary and bruised knows that she is facing the end of her career at the school and legal repercussions, asks Annabelle to leave.

Annabelle protests but Simone does not have the emotional energy to deal with her and the fallout due to follow. Annabelle realizes this and agrees to go, “for now.”

Mother Emaculata asks Simone to show if even only a token measure, of remorse for her actions expecting Simone to obey as her as she unquestioningly has done for so many years. But Simone has finally reached the point of no return, from denying Amanda and denying her true self and tells Mother Emaculata that she cannot do what she asks, as she has no remorse for her actions, because she is what she is and she loves Annabelle.

“I don’t expect you to understand, and you cannot forgive me because I have done nothing that needs your forgiveness, all I have done is love another human being.”

Mother Emaculata had eased her own conscience about calling the authorities upon her return to her office before even investigating the incident properly, by convincing herself that her actions were justified in the wake of all the scandals involving priests and altar boys that were reported on in the newspapers and TV almost daily. A similar incident involving a teacher and student could do the school immeasurable harm.
