Spencer was about to text her reply while walking down the hall, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She spun around to see who was holding on to her. Needless to say, she was more than shocked to see Ashley standing before her. “What are you doing here??” She whispered loudly, not wanting to draw unwanted attention.
“I needed to see you! I was going crazy without you near me. But it’s okay… I paid a freshman to distract the principal, genius really. I can’t believe I never thought of it before.” Ashley said, thoughtfully.
“You have to get out of here or you’ll be suspended for even longer! My dad finds out that you came to school like this, he’s not going to let me see you the whole time!”
Through there conversation, a small brunette with long bangs had come up beside the both of them.”Do I have to save you again?! ‘Cause I gotta tell ya, it’s like a full time job!” Carmen said, interrupting the banter that had been occuring between the two lovers.
“Who the hell are you?” Ashley said, not liking to shorter brunette already.
“Ashkey, this is Carmen, the girl I told you about. She’s new here and you were on your way home, right, so you don’t get into more trouble?” Spencer knew she was avoiding a pretty big bullet.
“Yeah, I guess, but make sure you call me tonight when you get home and don’t forget…” Ashley was speaking to Spencer, but never once looked away from the other brunette. “I love you” Ashley whispered, finally looking towards her girlfriend. She leaned towards Spencer and kissed her for a few seconds before breaking contact, and Jogging out of the school.
“The girlfriend, I’m guessing?” Carmen asked, already knowing. Spencer simply nodded and started walking down the hall again. “Well she’s a bundle of joy isn’t she?”
“She’s not usually like that. She’s ticked off that she got suspended and can’t see me after school today.”
“Well look at my luck, that means you can hang out with me.” Carmen grinned.
Spencer was hesitant, “I don’t know, Ashley might get mad or something that I’m hanging out with someone else when I can’t hang with her.”
Carmen chuckled, “What’s she gunna do, shove you into a wall??”
“No, she would never do that! I just think she gets protective over me. We didn’t have a very good start to our relationship…” Spencer continued to explain how her and Ashley’s relationship came to be, and how it almost didn’t because of her run-in with Aiden.
“This Aiden guy sounds like a complete tool!” Carmen would pitch in every now and then. The finally time, someone commented behind them.
“He’s not that bad, I actually think he’s pretty cute!” A fair haired boy with short cropped hair and a slim build said, apparently eavesdropping on their conversation.
“Excuse me, and you are? How do you know him, but I really don’t think you’re his type.
The boy cracked up laughing and sputtered between fits of laughter, “I’m Justin. I met him in Pittsburg, where I live.”
Right then a familiar figure appeared behind Justin. “Aiden!” Spencer cried before getting up and leaping onto his body to hug him. “This isn’t gunna turn you on, is it?”
Justin, again cracked up, but soon quieted down by the way of a stern look from Aiden.
“Nah, Spence, I know full well that you’re all Ashley’s. Unless…” He motioned towards Carmen.
“Oh no, she’s still the ice queen’s girl, to my dismay of course.” Carmen chimed in.
Justin then chimed in, “Ok, and who are you, again?”
“Carmen, Justin. Carmen, Aiden. Justin, Carmen. Aiden, Carmen. She’s new here. Ok, now that we all know each other… Where the heck were you?!” Spencer exclaimed towards Aiden, exassperated.
“Pittsburg.” He said nonchalantly.
“You go there often? Or did you just feel like a long drive??” Spencer asked incredulously.
“Spence, can I talk to you in private for a minute?”
Spencer said nothing as she followed him to a seperate hallway.
“What is it, Aiden?” Spencer asked once the young man stopped moving.
“Spencer, I went to Pittsburg to meet Justin. Well meet up with him, I should say. We met online before I left.” Aiden put his head down as if ashamed.
“Aiden, that’s cool, but why would you drive that whole way-… OH!! Ohmigod, Aiden! Are you-”
“I dunno, Spencer! I just I li being with Justin and he gets me, yano? it started as a mistake. He IMed me because he thought I was gay, but then we started talking about his boyfriend, Brian. They were off and on, but Brian treated him like shit and cheated on him constantly! I felt bad for the guy and we just kept talking and so then I started feeling jealousy and something else instead of sympathy. I don’t know if I’m gay or what justin and me being together even means, but Spencer, I think I love him. I’m terrified!” Aiden nearly broke down into sobs before Spencer hugged him tight.
“Aiden, ohmigod, it’s ok! Does Ashley know?” Aiden shook his head in the negatory. “Ok, you have to tell her, if she knew you didn’t tell her first, she&#82
17;d be even more pissed then she is already.”
“I’m just afraid she’s just gunna laugh and make a complete joke about it, and Justin’s not a joke for me.”
Spencer nodded slightly, “She might laugh and joke about it but you know it’s all in good fun, she’d never hurt you on purpose.”
Aiden considered Spencer’s reasoning amd accepted, nodding his head. “Now come on, Carmen’s probably boring your boyfriend with complimenting me, contantly.”
“Why’s Ash mad anyway, Carmen?”
“Carmen,” Spencer nodded.
Aiden let the Carmen subject go, imagining that it was a sore subject at the moment and changed the discussion to a lighter note.”Justin and I aren’t official, yet, yano? He’s technically not my boyfriend.”
“YET!” Spencer muttered.
Both friends laughed as they walked back to the table the other two were sitting. Spencer hugged Justin saying, “Welcome to the family.”

Meanwhile Aiden and Spencer’s little one-on-one chit-chat…. Between the other two at the table

“You guys fucked, right?” Carmen asked Justin, bluntly.
“Ohmigod, not yet but I totally blew him almost the whole ride back here. I thought my jaw would fall off, but I loved it! Aiden is so hot and he’s so sweet too. He even offered to beat the crap out of my ex, Brian! I was totally about to let him because Brain’s a total whore and he’s an all around jerk. I decided against it though because I want Aiden all to myself, and knowing Brian, he’d seduce Aiden, somehow.” Justin gushed as if the pair had known each other for a lifetime. He blushed, “Sorry, I’ve been dying to get that off my chest since I met Aiden and I don’t really have that many friends, mainly only Brian’s friends. Oh and the one friend that, like despises me’s mother. She’s the one that convinced my mom not to disown me for being a flaming homosexual!” He laughed.
“Yeah, it’s ok, I just moved here and I already have a crush on someone that is already in love with someone else! It’s very frustrating.” Carmen confessed to her gay comrad.
“Spencer?” Justin asked.
“Spencer.” Carmen replied, nodding.
Just then Aiden and Spencer were walking back towards them, laughing. When they got close, Spencer hugged Justin and said, “Welcome to the family.”
