Present day




I wish I could sleep like this all the time. Its like the minute she puts her arms around me I haven’t a care in the world. I have actually been thinking about that a lot latley, you know how and why I can be okay with all the shit that has happened to me with one touch from her.I feel kind of bad because with her having to deal with my shit all the time she has no time to date or anything. Not like I want her to date or anything…I mean I want her to be happy, I’m just confused right now I guess.



“seems like there is a lot going on in that head of yours, care to share?”


“ash, when did you wake up?


“oh about 10 minutes.ago, when I realized there was no more druel coming from your mouth, I figured something was wrong. Haha

“okay ash seriously, you freak me out when do that kind of shit…how do you always know what I’m thinking?


“because I know you better then you know your self, and I know your fears and doubts and trust me when I say I want to be here and no where else, so stop trying to pawn me off on other people cause I won’t go quietly. “whatever..speeking of sleepwalking, at about four in the morning you decided you wanted to sleep in your neighbors flowers, so I laid there with you for a little then carried you back in side.

“hmm that could be fun. Anyway we have to get up we have practice in 30 minutes. You taking a shower cause I know I am.


“yea, gotta get the dirt out of my ears and god knows where else. Ha. You can take a shower first if you want.


Or we could take one together I mumble out and pray she didn’t hear me. What has gotten into me, I can’t believe I just said that. She just stares at me and smiles that 1000 watt smile as I inwardly argue with my self and she patiently waits till I finish


” are you done yet, we should get in that shower cause we don’t have much time now its not like we haven’t showered together before.


She has got to be a mind reader, that’s it I have made up my mind.”um ash the last time we showered together we were 9.


“soo we still have the same parts so move it Carlin!!


I just nod my head in agreement and head towards the bathroom. What am I getting myself into.


Ash is not far behind and is first to rip off her beater and pull down her boy shorts she heads to turn on the shower and I am speechless. Her body is in perfect shape, so tan and abs that go on for days it seems and wow her legs are to die for. Oh my god I’m chexin her out. I have seen her in bathingsuits but nothing prepares you for this. I feel my face get flushed and red and something in my stomache will not stop fluttering around. She is in the shower now and is looking at me with a smile on her face,cause she knows I was just checking her out


“uh spence, you going to get in or am I going to have to carry you in here to? I start to step in and she pushes me back “Spence your clothes hun?


“oh yea haha.


I turn around and take off my shirt and boy shorts and I slowly get in while covering my breasts with one hand and my center with the other. “Spencer if your not comfortable with me being in here, I can go.


“no no ash don’t go. I’m fine, I just have never really showered with anyone after I grew boobs, its just a little embarrising.


“well just for the record you shouldn’t be embarresed because you are breathtaking…


Is she flirting with me?
Wow do I want her to flirt? She is just staring into my eyes and I can’t look away, man this is intense. I swear I have never blushed so much in. My life.


I can’t be falling for my friend, can I? But she is a she. Oh man I’m in for it now.


We finally start heading to practice. Apparently summer has made us all out of shape cause we are dragging ass. Except for ash of course miss abs of steel herself. The coach is really lettin us have it. We ran drills over and over and over, till he felt we had them down, it was torture. He let us go after 2 hours and told us to be back an hour after school for more training.


“It felt like he made us run for days” ash says this after getting out of the girls locker room shower, and once again I’m starring at her outstanding body. She looks at me and decides to say something this time.

“I’m hot huh? I know I know, it takes a lot to look this good. Haha

“um um no I mean yes I mean you do have a nice body but um your not hot, I mean your hot just not to me, If I was a guy I think you were hot, not that girls wouldn’t think your hot, its just.” I think I ramble on like that for a good 10 minutes before she puts me out of my misery by sayin “Spence I know you think I’m hot and its okay because I think your hot too!”

She had time to get dressed while I was babbling? Were was I?
Then she turns and walks out of that locker room and on to the rest of the first day of our junior year…and what a first day it will be…
