Let's Get A Little Definition Friendly – (Chapter: [8]Past)
Halfway through my hairwashing session, I stopped instictly, after hearing a sound. I looked up and saw brown hair, and a familar figure, fuck, I really wished that Kyla and Ashley didn’t look so similar through this glass. I prayed it was Ashley, I took a deep inhale, when I saw the figure sit on the counter directly across from the shower. I let it exhale then opened the door slightly. Yes! I smiled at Ashley and tilted my head to the side, trying to tell her that whatever happened earlier, I was over it, and if she wanted to talk, despite the clear hubbub of water hitting me and the shower’s tile floor, I was here to listen.
"I’m sorry, just when-Spencer I can’t stand to see you in pain, but what happened in my dream, no nightmare. It was scary ok?" she looked terrified. I nodded through the door, and slipped back in, because the cold was far from refreshing. "But, I don’t think you can get, or even come close to how I feel if I don’t tell you what happened" I peaked through the door again, and nodded telling her to go on. "Ok, so, we’re heating up, me and you, an average day in my bedroom, being payful, whatever, and then I hear I bang" I watched her pause with hesitation before she continued "So, so, I got up to see what I heard, but, you told me to get back in bed, I couldn’t though, I couldn’t stop myself from knowing, it was, it was fucking crazy Spencer" another pause. I stopped the shower completley and grabbed the towel I’d drapped over the rim of the shower’s wall.
I sat next to her on the large counter in my towel, and listened intently, and did my best to prevent multiplying Ashley’s emotion, with my own faces and reactions. "So I got up, and almost made it to the door, when it opened, not just opened like ‘hey, I’m home!’ it swung open Spencer, and Kyla stood there" I looked around the bathroom, trying to focus on something other then Ashley’s bowed head "She didn’t even look at me, it was like I wasn’t in the room, so I look at her, and she has a rope in her hands, so I look over at you, and you’re just sitting there, looking at Kyla, like you were ready to die" surprisingly, she didn’t look close to being on the verge of tears, I guess that time did infact keep her calm.
