Spencer’s POV

Since we have such a long car drive to Ohio, my dad wants us to leave early. Clay and Glen are taking Clay’s truck so there will be more room for us girls in the microbus. Ashley and I basically decked out the whole back of the bus and it looks, in the words of the very wise Peter Griffin, "FREAKIN’ SWEET", okay I’ve been watching way too much Family Guy. But seriously it looks awesome, we have a sheet seperating the back of the bus from the front, *wink wink*. No I’m just kidding, that’s sick. Well, only because of the fact that Tegan and Kyla will be right there.

I’m woken up by the sound of my alarm clock going off at 4 am. Yeah, 4 am. I wipe the sleep out of my eyes and attempt to sit up, but I fail when I find that Ashley’s arms are wrapped around my stomach, and her head is on my chest, she’s snoring, not so quietly, and drooling on my shirt. She’s too adorable for words. We better get up soon so we can leave.

"Ashley, we gotta get up." I say as I try to sit up again, but she just grabs on tighter.

"Mmmm, five more minutes, Kyla." I laughed as I worked free of her hold on me. I went into the bathroom and at the sight of my eye liner and a stick of very dark red lipstick, I had a great idea. I took my eye liner and went into my room. I turn her over gently and take the cap iff if the eye liner. I write on her forehead, "PROPERTY OF" and on her left cheek, I wrote "SPENCER", and on her right cheek I wrote "CARLIN" and after that was all written, I took the lipstick and put an obscene amount on and gave her a big smooch on her cheek, where nothing was written, and it left a huge mark. I tried so hard to stop laughing as I took a picture with my phone and sent it to Kyla. I have to make sure that Ashley stays away from any mirror.

"Ashley c’mon, we gotta get going soon." I whispered to her.

"Okay, okay." She said, taking five minutes to roll out of bed. I laughed as she was headed for the bathroom. at the last minute she said, "No point in getting all ready if we’re gonna be in the bus all day, right?" She asked

"Yeah, plus you already look drop dead gorgeous," I said, doind my best to keep a straight face as I kissed her.

"Thanks Spencer, you do too." She said, completely oblivious to why I said that before, as we headed downstairs.

Kyla’s POV

My phone woke me up at 4 am, saying that I have a text message with a picture. I try to get up but I find that Tegan’s arms are wrapped tightly around me. I smile as I try to wake her up, which won’t be easy.

"Tegan, get up they’re probably going to be here soon." I said and she stirred and sat up.

"Okay, I’m up." She said as I went to get my phone off of my dresser. I opened the text and cracked up at the picture of my sister that Spencer sent me. She was sleeping on on her face it said "PROPERTY OF SPENCER CARLIN" I showed it to Tegan and she was rolling on the floor.

"She looks great, did she do something different with her hair?" She said in between laughs.

"We can’t be very obvious about this, I wonder how long she’ll go without noticing."

She silently agreed as we headed downstairs to wait for Spencer and her family. THey came about 10 minutes later and we loaded our luggage into the back and we all sat on a beanbag chair, I looked at Ashley and then looked at Spencer and grinned.

"Hey Ash, you look great today, did you change your hair or something?" Tegan asked her and I elbowed her in the ribs.

"Ow! What was that for." Tegan yelled.

"Like you don’t know." I whispered in her ear. This is going to be one long car trip. I thought to myself as I dozed off for a while.
