"I’ts not the end Trish, it’s only the beginning for both of us. You know I’ll always be there for you and we’ll always be friends. You’ll meet some one special and probably wonder how the ***** you put up with me for so long." Nikki said trying to make light of things.

Trish tried to laugh at Nikki’s humour but a lump had formed in her throat. She managed a smile and turned her head so Nikki could not see the solitary tear that hung from the corner of her eye.

"Well Miss Wade here is your cheque, just sign here please and our business is completed." said the solicitor handing Nikki a bank cheque with lots of zero’s.

Standing outside next to Trisha’s car Nikki hugged her and wished her all the best. Trish had wanted to go for a drink and at first Nikki felt it was the appropiate thing to do, but there was some thing a little more pressing that needed to be attended to. Offering her appologies to Trish Nikki hurried home to Helen.

Nikki raced up the front steps and into the flat calling for Helen as she did. Helen was upstairs and shouted that she’d be down in a minute. Nikki couldn’t wait and took the steps two at a time.

"Goodness Nikki what’s got you?" Helen said laughing at Nikki’s child like antics.

Nikki began waving a piece of paper in the air. Sweeping Helen up in her arms she said "This" and continued to wave the paper.

"What is it? Helen asked.

Nikki put Helen down and kissed her quick and hard. Breathlessly she said. "Our future Helen, our future. Calming down slightly Nikki tilted Helen’s chin till their eyes met." Helen I have wanted to talk to you about buying our own home. With this now we can." Nikki’s voice was full of emotion.

Helen looked at the love Nikki’s eyes held and hoped hers mirrored what she too felt. Her own voice beginning to crack with her own emotions she managed to get out a feeble."I couldn’t think of anything more wonderful than setting up our own home together sweetheart."

Nikki’s heart skipped a beat. Embracing Helen she began a sucession of kisses she meant never to end. "’Now where were we?" she teased as she slipped a hand inside Helen’s bra.

"Hey don’t touch what you can’t afford!!" Helen laughed making sure though that Nikki couldn’t withdraw her hand.

"Oh but I can darling" Nikki answered thinking of all the lovely zero’s. "Shoosh now no more talking" she said as she continued to thrill and excite them both.
