I'm Staying And You're Going to Love Me (Part Two: No One Can Get in the Way of What I'm Feeling)
When she pulled up to the driveway at her parent’s house, she found Ashley sitting on the steps, arms around her knees. Spencer wasn’t the least bit surprised to see her.
“Now what?”
“Spencer, please. All I want to do is talk. Can we at least talk?”
Spencer knew eventually she’d have to face the situation. She wasn’t quite sure if she was ready, but she just wanted to get it out of the way.
She let Ashley in and directed her towards the living room. They sat facing each other, Ashley sitting on one side of the couch, Spencer on the other. The tension between them was so strong.
“So?”
“I’m sorry about your dad. I really am.”
“Thanks.”
“You know, I always loved him. Even when things… he was always supportive.”
“You didn’t come here to talk about my dad.”
Ashley let out a sigh. “Look, Spence, I’m trying okay? You have all these walls built up, and I get it. I do, but there was a time when you didn’t.”
“That was years ago, Ashley. That was before you completely threw everything away.”
“Are you ever going to forgive me for that?”
“I loved you, Ash. I loved you so much. I gave up a lot to be with you.”
“I know.”
“Then why? Why did you do it? All those girls?”
“Because I was scared.”
“Scared? Of what? Of love?”
“Of loving you too much. It scared the crap out of me. I didn’t know what to do. What I did was… Letting you go was the worst thing I ever did.”
“You could have talked to me about it, Ashley.”
“I was stupid back then. And I’ve regretted it every day since. Seeing you now, it’s like all these emotions have just exploded inside of me. You can’t deny that you don’t feel this.” Ashley reached for Spencer’s hand and placed it on her heart. “I love you. I always have. Since the first day we met. And I’m so sorry for what I did. I want to spend the rest of my life making it up to you. If you’ll let me I want to do everything I can to show you how sorry I am and how much I love you. I know that we can be great together. The two of us, we’re meant for each other. And I hate that it took me so long to realize it.”
Tears were flowing down Spencer’s face. She spent years building her walls. So why was it so easy for Ashley to break them down? Without even realizing what she was doing, Spencer grabbed Ashley’s face in her hands. Their lips were inches away from each other. And Spencer went for it. She kissed Ashley with everything she had inside of her. It was like there was six years worth of passion all thrown into one. She took Ashley by the hand and led her upstairs. What they had before was nothing compared to now. The soft touch of Ashley’s hands on her skin made Spencer tremble. This was the body that Spencer had learned. Their bodies moved under the covers, Spencer’s hands running through Ashley’s hair. It felt right, for the both of them.
As Ashley lay in her arms, kissing her neck, Spencer thought, for a brief moment, that maybe, just maybe, everything was going to be alright.

I agree with dawniekey, too quick but I’m sure they’ll have their issues to contend with. By the way, Spencer, there are so many better things to put in your mouth besides a cig. Loving the story so far. PMS!
