"Because Spence I needed to tell you something.” 

Here it was, Ashley was going to do it.  She had to.  Being away from Spencer for a month in New York was too difficult for her.  She knew she had to tell the blond how she’s been in love with her since they were 15.  “Go on Ash.”  Spencer was eager to hear what Ashley had to say.  “I love…”  Ashley chickened out “New York.”  Spence smiled

“I hope that doesn’t mean you’re not coming home.”  Ashley laughed.

 “I’d never not come home to you.”  Spencer blushed and then they said their goodbyes and hung up.

“Damn it Ashley!”  Ashley said to herself.  She knew she wouldn’t be able to tell Spencer she loved her, and that’s the reason why she sent plan B in the mail.  “She should get the letter by tomorrow.”  Ashley was nervous but excited to get home.

The next day Spencer went to the mailbox.  She rummaged through the letters and noticed one from Ashley.  “What?” she thought to herself, “Ash didn’t say she was sending me anything?”  She opened the letter and headed straight for her room.

Meanwhile in New York, Ashley was on her plane, excited to get back to Spencer.  “I wonder if she got it yet,” looking out the window.  Then she remembered that she told Spencer she would open her gift before she got home.  She looked around searching for it.  “Fuck!” she said.  “I left it at that café this morning.”  She looked around noticing that there were still people boarding.  She slipped out of her seat and out of the plane.  “Hell, if they take off without me” she thought, “I’ll just make the next one.”  And then Ashley rushed to the café to try and retrieve Spencer’s gift.

Spencer read the letter again and again.  Her heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to explode.  “Oh God! Thank you thank you thank you!”  Spencer tried calling Ashley but no answer.  “Tonight will be a night to remember” she said out loud, now nervous and excited to see her best friend.

Ashley rushed into the small café and noticed the box still in the same place she left it.  “Don’t they ever clean up?” Ashley looked with disgust and then walked out of the café.  “Hopefully I can make it back in time to catch my flight.”   She walked out into the street and looked down at the small box.  She opened it and pulled out a beautiful bracelet.  Then she read what was engraved on the back.  I’ll love you always – Spencer.  She stood there and tears started to form in her eyes.  “She loves me” she said out loud but her thoughts were ripped away when she heard the screeching of tires and then…nothing.
