    Tryouts are always fun…especially when the person you hate is there!

    "Remember, tryouts are after school, Ash!" Alexis yelled to Ashley as they parted ways to get to class.

    "Yeah, I know, MOM!"

    "Well I’m just reminding you so you can remind me when I forget."

    "Wait, you’re trying out for the play?"

    "Yeah, but for a minor role."

    "Oh, well I’mv tryin’ out for lead and I’ve worked my ass off on those lines!"

    "Sweet! You’ll do great Ash! See ya at lunch!"

    "Later, Lex"

    As Ashley passed Spencer in the hallway she gave her her usual CHIPPER greating!

    "Whore." Ashley said

    "Slut."

    This isn’t unusual for them. Just a one word greeting that consists of four or five letters. After school, Ashley and Alexis met up at tryouts ready to go. They were both pretty confident that they did well and would get the part, they had both studied those lines everyday ever since they knew about the play. They would know in about a week who was what role in the play."

    "Lex! The cast list is up! Come here and look!" 

    "Oh! I got the role of Jen! The lead characters sister!"

    "Cool! Oh, my GOSH!! I got the lead role! I play the part of Amanda!"

    "Who got the other lead, the girl that Amanda falls in love with?"

    "Umm, lemme check….Oh. My. God. NO NO NO!!!"

    "Who got it!?!?"

    "SPENCER!"

    "Ohhhhhh, HAHAHA!!!"

    "Alexis MARIE, THIS IS NOT FUNNY!!!"

    "Yeah it is! You have to act like you love her during the play, you have to be IN love with her! HAA HAA!!"

    As they were talking, Spencer came up and saw what role she got and the role that Ashely got and people swear that they heard her gag.

    "Davies got LEAD ROLE?!?! What is the world coming to?!?!"

    "This is sick, I have to act like I’m in love with…CARLIN?!"

    "Gross." Ashley and Spencer said in unison.

    "Well, I may hate you but I’m not going to ruin the play, so come over to my house after school, so we can…run lines I guess. But I’ll have to get the house fumigated afterwords. Don’t want roaches." Spencer said as she smirked and walked away.

    "Did she just ask me to come over to her house?" Ashley asked in disbelief.

    "Yeah, she did." Alexis said, just as confused as Ashley.
