I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: She had the most precious name)
You know when sometimes you get up to fast; you get so dizzy that you black out? Yeah, well that’s not the case for me. At least not this time. I’m pretty sure I fainted, which would explain why I’m on the floor.
“Spence! Spence! Are you okay?” Aiden asks hovering over my limp body.
“I didn’t want to say it Spence…I didn’t want to, but you…you wouldn’t—“ I stop his nervous rant by placing my hand on his, which is laying flat on my stomach.
I can’t believe that was her on the other line, I haven’t heard her voice in years and that was her. I want to say something but I just can’t, I can’t even begin to process what is going on exactly.
“We should get you home.” Aiden whispers, all I can do is nod in response. I can’t even move, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem to him, seeing as he’s already carrying me out of the door.
On the way home, I can’t help but look back to the first day that we actually held a real, normal conversation.
“I’ll take the trash out when I want to.” I mumble under my breath hoping, praying she doesn’t hear me. Shit out of luck, she’s turning around painfully slow waiting to make eye contact.
“What did you say?” She asks in an extremely low voice, taking excruciatingly slow steps towards me.
“I said… I love you mom!” I let out in a rush, squinting one eye shut, keeping the other open just watching her every move. She stops about three inches in front of me smirking.
“Bullshit…but I’ll let it slide.” She closes the three inches separating us to plant a kiss on my forehead. “Now please, go take out the garbage.” She finishes leaving the kitchen.
