I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: Just a talk.)

“Spencer, what the hell does Glen do again?” Ashley asks in awe as we walk into Glen and Alexis’ house.

“Um…physical therapist?” I’m actually not quite sure what he does, all I know is it has to do with sports.

“Wow, you sound so sure.” She teases as she closes the door behind us.

Seriously though I don’t understand how someone who soothes people’s bodies can make so much money and live in such a huge ass house. There’s probably ten plasma’s scattered around the house, including the baby’s room.

I’m just happy I don’t have to spend money on a hotel, considering we’re staying for about three days. The only problem is we have to share the house with my parents for a day until Glen and Alexis come home with Samantha.

I still can’t even believe I’m an aunt, it’s just insane. When Glen first brought her to me, I felt like a child, unable to do anything and unable to think straight. Then, then when he handed her to me, my heart fluttered.

She was tiny, so soft, and very pale. So pale. I remember taking my eyes off of her and glancing at Ashley; I found her smiling at me from a few feet away. Then as I started walking towards her, her eyes widened in fear; She knew I wanted her to hold her, I recall her telling me Samantha was too small; she didn’t want to break her.

I assured her that couldn’t happen even though I knew she was joking. Anyway, long story short I handed her the baby and for a second she looked pretty awkward, holding it a couple inches away from her chest.

I jokingly told her she wouldn’t bite, and as soon as the awkwardness seeped away she held her like if she was her own. She held her with all the care she had, even if she was half asleep.

I didn’t miss the smile, or the little glint in her eyes.

“I’m turning the fire on,” Ashley states, already heading towards the fire place in the living room.

“Aren’t you tired?” I ask as I make my way towards her.
