    Author Notes:

    Ashley meets up with her dad.

    “Our apartment,” I clarified.

    “Whoops…I keep forgetting!”

    “It’s okay, you’ll get used to it.”

    “I know,” she said. “When are you gonna get back? Not to rush you or anything.”

    “20 minutes? Something like that.”

    “Okay… I’ll let you go then.”

    “Alright, I love you.”

    “I love you too,” she replied. I hung up and tucked my phone back into my pocket. My dad was staring at me with an amused look on his face.

    “What?” I asked.

    “Oh, nothing,” he replied. The moment was interrupted by a knocking on the door. He shot up to answer it, and in walked a familiar face… Billy, the bassist in my dad’s band. The two exchanged greetings, until Billy spotted me.

    “Jesus Christ… little Ashley Davies… look at you!” he exclaimed.

    “Hey Billy!” I replied, giving him a huge hug. He had always been my favorite of my dad’s friends.

    “That’s Uncle Billy to you, kid,” he teased. “I hear you’re doing great… making your old man proud.”

    “I hope!”

    “Of course she is!” my dad responded, throwing an arm around my shoulder.

    “I always knew you’d make it. Ever since the first tour your dad ever brought you on. God, you must have been 4 years old!”

    “She was 3,” my dad corrected.

    “I don’t even remember it,” I said. “But I do remember that… I need to go.”

    “Ah, come on, the fun’s just started!” Billy exclaimed.

    “I know, I know… I sorta have somewhere to be.”

    “She’s got a girlfriend now,” my dad explaining with a smirk.

    “How many?” Billy joked.

    “One!” I replied with a laugh. “And on that note, I’m going. It was great to see you, Billy. Tomorrow, Dad?”

    “Yup. I’ll give you a call in the afternoon.”

    “Bye Ashley,” Billy said.

    “Bye.”

     

    20 minutes later, on the dot, I entered the apartment to find Spencer doing homework on the couch. She looked adorable when she was concentrating really hard. I almost didn’t want to disturb her. Almost.

    “Hey beautiful.” She turned to me, blushing, and smiled. I grinned in response and took a seat next to her, giving her a quick kiss on my way down.

    “So it went well?” she asked.

    “Yup. I basically just told him that this was his last chance, and if he screwed up, that was it. End of story.”

Then I’ll un bind your hands and strap them to the computer keyboard and lap dance on you until you update that it was a lie. Ok. I just had to warn you of that. Just in case all this happiness was a foil. If this happiness WASN’T a foil, I now look like a complete idiot. But that’s ok, it’s my base state. I love love love love your stories, they got me off the couch. That takes some doing.

I hope he doesn’t do what Shane’s dad did in the L Word and make Ash question her relationship and ability to keep one going and therefore she ends up cheating on Spencer! Please don’t let the nasties come and ruin everything. Let everything be happy, please. Drama + my heart condition (Which is fairly good) = not a good thing. If your not careful you may casue me to pass out right here on the key board. Keep posting though, whatever you decide to do. I’ll read it anyways, no matter the consquences to my heart. =)
