Good, Follows the Bad – (Chapter: let’s fall in love)
<KLIK> <KLIK> <WHRRR>
UMM….Where was I? I put the tape recorder down for just one second and…..huh…..I lost my train of thought. I’m….I’m not sure who is ever going to listen to this. To the ramblings of Ashley Davies, but this story….our story is something that should be remembered. So here I am with this tape recorder that’s so old…..Talking to a girl that…..That….. Just like that "Thought" I lost……I can’t get back again. People stay with you for as long as you remember them. I don’t want to forget you Spencer Carlin. Stay with me……
It’s been so long I can’t decide which memories are real and which are idealized…. I do remember how it felt. I was pushing my cart down the east wing of the hospital towards the children’s ward, thinking about you. About those blue eyes, and how for just a moment they looked into mine. It’s funny, I started cursing at myself, wishing I could’ve deciphered the heiroglyphics which made up the elevator buttons. I just remember thinking;
"Why can’t it just say Open Door instead of those wierd arrow thingies."
And then, maybe by chance, or maybe God has a sense of humor and we’re all part of the joke, but I walked by room 119. You were laughing, not at me, I don’t even know what it was all about. But just seeing you happy…… Made me feel amazing….

Ashley stopped the tape recorder, and ejected the cassette. She twirled it around her fingers, before returning it to its case. Grabbing a green sharpee she marked the cassette container with a "1" before putting it into a mahogany colored box. She grabbed another blank tape from the pile at her feet and began unwrapping the plastic casing.

She thought back to that day at the hospital. How she stood in front of room 119, watching a girl laugh for God knows what reason. Her head was tilted forward, and her blonde hair was framing the sides of her face. Maybe she was psychic or maybe she saw Ashley from the corner of her eye, but she looked up towards the open door.
