Falling down means you have to crawl back up – (Chapter: You’ve pretty much killed me)
“It was never about getting even.” The blonde quickly walked around to stand in front of Ashley preventing her from retreating.
“Move please.” Ash said through gritted teeth trying to hold in her temper.
“No. I’m not going anywhere. We need to talk.”
“You want to talk about how you’re sleeping with my sister?” Ashley shook her head in disbelieve about the entire situation.
“I want to explain.” Spencer knew there were no words she could muster at that moment that would ease Ashley’s pain or her own.
“There is nothing to explain, and nothing I want to hear from you right now.” Ashley said with her own tears that matched Spencer’s. There was a silence that washed over them and the pair looked at each other with blurry vision. “You don’t love me any more.” Ash stated and the pain that the sentence caused struck to her core.
“Ash I…” Spencer wanted to say so many things her mind was so conflicted at that moment that she could not form words.
“If you’re not going to move, then I will.” Ashley could not able to bare it a second more and walked past Spencer however she turned around after a few paces. “And Spence.” The blonde turned around hopefully. “Stay away from me.” Spencer felt her heart crumble at those 4 words they felt like a blow to her stomach. There was nothing left for her to do but watch Ashley walk away from her.
Paula was almost finished with her shift at work and was excited about getting home to look after ‘little Clay’ which had instantly been a nickname and stuck. She adored her grandson so much it made her heart swell to a point were it hurt. The older woman noticed people begin to run past her in a hurry, she knew that she should just walk to the locker room and finish her shift but she grabbed one of the nurses.
“What’s happened?”
“A car accident, two teenagers from King’s high it looks like, one is in pretty bad shape.” Paula let go of the woman’s arm and too jogged in the direction everyone else had taken. Her face fell when she realised who the two teens were.
