“Huh? How long have you been there?” Thoughts were not processing in her brain.
“Um…About five seconds. I just figured you two had argued or something, you were moping and she was wondering where you were.” Ashley explained eyeing Kyla, and her edgy behaviour.
“Oh right yeah we’re fine.” Kyla quickly said as she began to ascend the stairs walking past her sister, not wishing for the truth to be painted on her face. Kyla reached her bedroom and slammed the door shut and leaning against it thankful to be alone. Now that she was by herself Kyla allowed her thoughts to travel to Spencer and recall the feeling of their lips together, it was as if their lips were made to fit and touch. Her heart began to beat with the excitement raising up in her body only to come crashing down as her phone began to ring. Rushing to grab it thinking that it was Spencer, discontent ran over her when she saw it was Aiden again. Kyla was about to switch her phone off when an impulse caused her to answer it.
“What Aiden?” She could not prevent the snotty tone that accompanied her words.
“Kyla?” He was surprised she had answered.
“Yes, what do you want?” She couldn’t understand why he had called, he had attempted to contact her many times after prom and had finally gotten the hit; what had changed, it was the curiosity that had made her answer.
“I need to talk to you Kyla.” There was a sadness in his voice that triggered her to sit down.
“What’s wrong?” Her voice lightened to some extent but yet kept her frosty tone.
“Please just come and meet me I’m round the corner in my car. Please.”
“Aiden I…” She started to speak but realised that he had hung up the phone. She looked at her mobile for a couple of seconds deciding what to do; although she knew instantly what her choice was. Grabbing her keys that lay on the desktop while she slipped on a pair of shoes and headed out to find Aiden.
Kyla slowly walked down the street and saw Aiden’s car with him sitting behind the wheel with his head held in his hands. Finally her slow paced steps led her to the passenger seat, she sat down just keeping her eyes forward and Aiden did not lift his head.

ugh i like this story but im anti anything but spashley lol. good writing tho!

I have been a diehard Spashley fan for a long time, but I think the Spyla storyline is necessary for the healing of Spencer’s heart. Spencer & Kyla have a chemistry together that is quite charming and refreshing. However, I do believe that Ashley needs to suffer the consequences of her own actions before she can be granted the gift of loving Spencer again. Ashley chose Aiden over Spencer which broke Spencer’s heart in a million pieces. So Ashley needs to see what it feels like to lose the one you love to someone else, which happens to be Kyla. Once Ashley learns her lesson and Spencer’s heart heals then they can begin the journey back to loving one another again. Unfortunately, we always have Aiden stepping in and screwing everything up…you do know the delete key works great when the storyline of Aiden comes up or you can ship him off to Iraq or something. Captivating story. PMS
