    Author Notes:

    Ashley’s still having those sleepless nights. Do we find out why? S and A have some early morning fun.

    The brunette would rather not sleep.

    She noticed the blonde shiver, slightly, then burrow further under the covers. That made Ashley realize that she was cold, as well. She hadn’t been thinking about it, so she didn’t notice.

    That fact that she wasn’t wearing anything wasn’t really helping that situation, either. Truthfully, her and Spencer both were…well…you get the picture.

    That was actually the first time that they were still unclothed into the morning, after a night of passion. Normally, whenever they did anything of a sexual nature, they would shower and dress afterwards.

    However, the night prior had been a tad more draining than usual, so they both fell asleep, from exhaustion, in a mass of tangled limbs, before they could clean themselves up a bit.

    Of course, that wasn’t a bad thing. They’d done a few things, they hadn’t before, and also, they had found that trying to be quiet while doing so was quite hard. Therefore, it made everything even more draining.

    Still…it wasn’t a bad thing…at all.

    Ashley reached down and brushed some hair from the blonde’s face, making her eyes flutter, then slowly open.

    The brunette pulled back her hand and frowned. She felt bad for waking the girl.

    Spencer blinked, trying to adjust her eyes to the light. She looked up to find Ashley frowning at her. With a furrowed brow and groggy voice she asked, “Why are you so pouty?”

    She wasn’t answered verbally. Ashley simply leaned down and kissed her, almost as if she hadn’t seen her for months.

    Surprised, Spencer chuckled lightly. “What’s on your mind, Davies?” She reopened her eyes to see the other girl looking at her, still seeming solemn.

    “Have I told you lately that I loved you?” she asked, her voice heavy on desperation.

    Spencer was slightly puzzled. “What, are you going to start singing?”

    Ashley smiled brightly. “No,” she laughed.

    “Good, you’re smiling.” Spencer nodded in approval. “And laughing. What was with the weirdness?”

    Shrugging, Ashley replied, “No clue. But really, when was the last time I told you that I loved you? I feel like I don’t say it enough.” She positioned herself to where she was on her side, leaning on her elbow, looking at the other girl.
