    Spencer’s still acting strange. Well, strange to Ashley’s standards, at least. And Easy’s trying to make a move on the firey brunette. WWIII, anyone?

    Ashley’s head shot up to look upon her intruder. “Hello…” she greeted warily.

    “You must have been tired; you slept for a long ass time.”

    So, he was trying for small talk. Okay, this wasn’t unusual for Ashley, but she did tire of boys constantly trying to move in on her. It was suffocating.

    “Not really,” she replied. “I just slept through the night, so I didn’t wake up like I normally would have.”

    “Mm, I see,” Easy nodded once, before walking over to the pantry. “So that wasn’t you I heard from across the hall last night.” He grabbed a box of Cheerios and shut the door.

    Ashley’s brow’s furrowed in confusion, “What? What did you hear?”

    “Not much,” he shoveled some of the loops into his mouth. “Just some muffled talking and sounds of pacing.”

    “What, do you have supersonic hearing?”

    “No,” he smiled, “paper thin walls.” He rapped his knuckles against the kitchen wall for emphasis.

    “So the noises must have been Spencer,” Ashley thought out loud. “Then how come I didn’t hear it?”

    Easy shrugged, “Maybe you’re a sound sleeper when you actually sleep.”

    She nodded, “Possibly.”

    “I’m guessing you never found out what was wrong with Squirt then, did you?” He asked as he shoveled another handful of Cheerios out of the box.

    “Nope,” Ashley wiped at her mouth to get rid of any excess chocolate before tossing the cup into the trashcan that still had her intrigued. “We didn’t speak too much after she left the barn, yesterday.”

    “Mm,” he grunted with a small nod. “No worries.” No worries? Hardly. Easy walked over next to the girl, setting his cereal box down on the counter. Throwing an arm over her shoulders, he said, “You and I can just hang out while she’s being a grump.” He wiggled his eyebrows subtlety.

    “I’m sorry, are you trying to seduce me?” Ashley asked, somewhat disgusted as she removed his arm from around her shoulders.

    “Well, that depends,” he flashed a flirtatious smile, “are you seducible?”

    Ew.

    She scoffed, “Hardly.”

    Easy leaned in a little closer, “Aww, c’mon…”

    “Back it up, Screw-Boy.” Ashley pushed him back, “I’m already spoken for, and I know for a fact that my significant other wouldn’t appreciate you hitting on me.”

    15. What the hell is wrong with Spencer? Riding barrel horses like a mad woman, kicking barrel’s, making Ashley close her eyes while getting dressed, and that nasty disposition…whew! I somehow feel like it has to do with the man that just walked in the bedroom. Favorite line: Ashley and Easy exchanged quick glances before she said, “You know…I find it very ironic that she’s eating Cheerios and acting like that.” ~ LMAO – Great update, as usual! PMS
