    Drownding In Memories…

He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I’ll love her till I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby

I had lost it, Lost her, Lost everything. Seeing her in that Cherry Oak casket sent me over the edge. I did this to her and I couldn’t help but feel I should be the one that they lowwer into the have, not her.

For months i stayed home, with the only thing that could numb the pain, Shutting out the pain. It was just me and the bottle of whiskey that I woke up to and fell asleep with every night.

The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself
For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath
She finally drank her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
    Until the night

I layed in bed that night, Her words playing over and over in my mind.

"I’m done. Done with you and done with this relationship."

I begain to cry. I couldn’t beleive it was over. I couldn’t beleive I through four years of love and happiness down the toilet for some girl. Some girl who wasn’t Spencer. I cryed myself to sleep that night.

I tipped my head back letting every burning drop and bitter ounce left in the bottle that had become my life fall into my mouth. My vision was foggy. The room was moving. I felt as if I couldn’t move, Yet the world around me was moving ninty miles an hour. I glanced at the picture on my night stand. I stummbled over to the picture, Lifting from that place it had sit for so long. I kissed it and whispered "I Love You" one last time beofore I fell into the plush bed and let the world around me go black….

    1. I’ll be the first to comment on this story. I really, really like that Song. I LOVE country. I am soo glad that someone actually made a story or chapter about this song for Ashley and Spencer. That song makes me think, that I would never do that to my girl and let her get away. CTYL, Buh-bye!!!!!!!!!!!
