DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series

A loud banging sounded on the windshield. I fought back a scream. The glass was covered with so much dark rain and fog so that I couldn’t see through it. Then, markings began to appear on the glass. I squinted, finding it was letters. Sprawled across the windshield was: It’s Jake. I rolled down the window to see him, covered in rain, obvious that he had just phased. His face was serious, “What are you doing here?” He asked.

“I had to talk to you,” I said, “Jacob, we have to end this. We have to.”

“It can’t be stopped, Bella. What’s done is done.”

“So is that it? We’re mortal enemies now? Jacob, just a few months ago we were best friends.”

    “Yeah, well things change.”

I could feel anger sweep through me like a storm, “Why are you being such and asshole?!” I shouted.

“It’s not hard to realize, Bella!” He yelled back, “Why did I run?!”
Thinking of only a few days before. The invitation.

“You’re treating me this way because of Edward?”

“In all honesty, I’m surprised he’s not with you. You’re so dependent on him that it’s pathetic!”

Pathetic? It was that moment that I knew. I had to be stronger. Not just to show him that I wasn’t as weak as he thought, but to prove I wasn’t pathetic.

“Hey look, Jake! She has one of her little leech friends with her!” I heard a cocky voice say. Behind Jacob, I could make out figures of Quil, and Embry.

I turned to Alice, “Alice, press the gas.” Alice did nothing, but stare out the window, chagrin oozing.

We began to tilt as the two began pushing on the car.

“STOP!” I yelled, “GROW UP!” Jacob stood, arms crossed, his back turned.

How did I even get out of the car? One minute Quil and Embry were trying to turn us over, the next I was out, attacking Jacob. He had pushed me off, I lay by the passenger door, the wet gravel and mud below me.

“Do me a favor,” Said Jacob venomously, “Just go. I shouldn’t even be talking to you right now…I should be killing you.”

Suddenly, headlights pierced through my eyes. Quil and Embry stood, ready to attack, while Jacob did nothing.
