Crazy In love – (Chapter: 15; a promise)

She was holding her head I wanted to go to her but Rob stopped me after a few seconds she was blinking her eyes looking around.

"Spencer?" he asked, and after looking around for a bit she stopped on him.

"Got’cha" my Angel said laughing her guts out. I could not help giggling myself.

"Well you really don’t like being told what to do now do you Angel?" He said smiling

"You bet grandpa." She sat back relaxed. She was underestimating him… not a smart thing to do…

He took a deep breath then kept on.

"So Spencer can you tell me about Billy?" he asked I was afraid to look at Angel.

"What are you dense? I told you…" "Tell me about the little things" he stopped her. "How she smelled like? How it delt like to be in her arms? What you did together?" he was stubborn I’ll give him that.

I finally built up enough courage to look at her. First she seemed angry but really she was confused, her eyes going everywhere, sitting uneasy.

"Did you see her die? It must have been hard on you…" that is too much "Robert I thin…" and again with one look I was silence.

"I ddiidn’t I’mm nottt…" she was stumbling breathing hard. I wanted to catch her but I didn’t move. Her eyes suddenly focused on one spot on the carpet her breathing was getting slower. After a few moments she looked up.

"She smelled like vanilla ice cream I never knew where she got it from but she was crazy about it… her arms were warm and soft, but she was so strong. We used to fight a lot but she always caved…" my heart was breaking I could feel the mist burning my eyes. "I didn’t see her die…" it was barely a whisper but we heard it.

"It must have been hard… living without her?" he asked I was completely mesmerized by her. She just nodded ‘yes’

"Spencer, did you make a promise?" I looked at him now understanding where he is going with this.

    "Yes…" she answered softly.

"What is that promise Spencer?" he probed deeper.

"I said… I promised that… we will… be together forever." She was weeping soundlessly.
