Come Down To Me – (Chapter: Sign or Not Sign)

“Aiden, since I am up” giving him a glare, “I will throw you a break and allow you to take me to breakfast.” He gives me a smile and I see him relax a little. “But afterwards your going to be my personal bag carrier from the shopping we are going to do. Ashley Davies needs something hot to wear to the new release party tonight!”

“Well then Ashley Davies should go freshen up” staring at my robe and laughing “ ‘cause we wouldn’t want the world to know Miss Hotness gets bed head like the rest of us folks.” That earned him a smack in the arm, “Ouch, that’s going to leave a bruise not to mention you wrinkled my suit.”

“You big baby. Maybe if you didn’t wear monkey suits every damn day, I wouldn’t have the need to wrinkle them.” Leaving a pouting Aiden behind, I go in search of fresh jeans and tank top to accompany me to an energizing shower.

“So are you going to keep me waiting here or going to tell me what is on your mind that couldn’t wait tell this afternoon?” This is really starting to annoy me. Breakfast is nearly over and I am almost through with my third cup of the day. Usually when he acts this way, it is not news I want to hear. Mostly it has to do with “my public image” the label is not to fond of. Last time it was about that bitch reporter who wrote up a review about the band’s first cd, claiming the album lacked imagination, was a bad rendition of the late Raiff Davies, and went on to say he would be rolling in his grave. She thought it wouldn’t even make the top one hundreds. Glad our fans didn’t agree. Still makes me smile thinking about when I finally ran into her a couple years later at a press announcement for our upcoming cd release and was able to get a good hit in before the police decided to hold me back. It was worth the large settlement out of my pocket and the public apologue.

“Ash, there is something we need to discuss, so just hear me out.” He checks his watch for what seemed to be the millionth time since we left my condo. “We might have to make our shopping trip short.” Fidgeting with his unused knife, looking anywhere but at me “Well you see…”
