Changing For the Better – (Chapter: First Love)
The first thing I noticed was that her body was pressed into mine. Her skin was sweaty and warm. It felt perfect as bare skin made contact with mine. Every second I thought I was going to explode.
“Ash we gotta stop doing this,” I laughed.
“Hey, it was your fault at the beach,” she joked turning over to face me. Silently, I watched her as she put both of her legs on either side of mine. She pressed her bare stomach against my exposed flesh. I could help but let out a sigh as she laid her body flat. Her hand gently stroked the side of my face.
“So did I win?”
“If I say yes will you kiss me?” She just smiled and then her lips were on mine in a matter of seconds. Her hands ran across my stomach gently stroking every inch of it.
“You know I think I’m really starting to like this game,” she smiled breaking away.
“We should play it more often.”
“But next time lets not even bother with the whole cloths thing,” Ashley smirked.
“I swear you’re a teenage boy sometimes,” I stated wrapping my arms around her neck and pulling her lips back down to mine. “But I love it.”
By the time we got off of the field I was itchy from lying in the grass, the sweat had dried onto my skin, and I was having some of the best day dreams of my life.
“Spence can I just shower with you?” Ashley whined as I locked the bathroom door.
“Go shower downstairs Ash,” I replied turning on the cold water.
“But I thought I scored.”
“Later babe,” I laughed stripping down to nothing and hopping into the shower. I could hear her huffing all the way down the steps.
When I got out of the shower there was a clean Ashley Davies sitting on my bed with a bottle of Vodka.
“Ms. Davies are you trying to get me drunk?” I joked.
“Nope, you chose the last game.”
“Ok what are we playing?” I asked sitting down next to her.
“Simple. I say I’ve never done something. And if you have done it then you take a drink.” Fuck. I’m screwed.
“I hate these games,” I sighed. “I always lose.”
“Ok, ok. I’ll start out with something easy. I’ve never lived in Ohio.” Rolling my eyes, I picked up the bottle and let the burning liquid slide down my throat.
“Fine. I’ve never been best friends with Aiden Dennison.” This time it was her turn to take the cheap shot. This was followed by several more variations of obvious statements. But soon enough they got deeper. Too bad I was drunk. It’s so much harder to lie when you can‘t even walk a straight line.
“I’ve never been in love before you,” she slurred. I took another shot of Vodka. “Wait what?” Ashley asked confused. Fuck. “Who is she?”
“That’s not part of the game,” I stated trying to erase this. Maybe if I can just keep getting her to drink she wont remember in the morning.
“Just tell what her name is,” she begged. “Is she pretty? Do you love her more than me.” No.
“It was a long time ago. I’m not even sure it was love. And of course I love you more than her.”
“Who was it,” she demanded again.
“Do you really wanna do this Ash,” I asked avoiding all eye contact.
“Please,” she replied sounding like she was on the verge of tears. Sighing, I let my mind trace and retrace again and again over the name. Was it love? I still don’t even know. But it meant something. It still hasn’t fully gone away. Taking a deep breath, I prepared to begin my explanation.
“Her name was Ryan, Alyssa Ryan.
