Spencer: I’m just so scared, Kyla.
Kyla: It’s ok to be scared. That’s actually good. It means you can still feel. And that maybe there is hope yet. (looks at her watch) It’s getting late. We have an early flight. We should get some sleep.
Spencer: (looks at the floor) Can you….can you stay in here with me tonight?
Kyla: Yea. I can do that.
(Kyla and Spencer walk to the bed and lay down. Kyla puts a hand on Spencer’s back to reassure her everything will be ok. Spencer feels this touch, and sobs into the bed. It’s the first time in five years, anyone has been able to touch Spencer. The first time in five years, Spencer actually let someone get close to her. Kyla scoots over more and wraps Spencer into her arms. Spencer cries harder whispering silently “I’m sorry”…so silently that if you weren’t listening, you wouldn’t have been able to here her. Kyla let’s a few tears of her own slip. So hold tight to Spencer, both drifting off into a peaceful slumber. Dreaming about what tomorrow will bring.)
NEXT MORNING
(Kyla and Spencer woke up early, and headed towards the airport. Spencer was nervous, while Kyla seemed cool and collected. She called Aiden to tell him they were at the airport getting ready to board. Both Aiden ad Kyla couldn’t hold their excitement. Kyla looked at Spencer and smiled reassuringly at her, and Spencer for the first time smiled a genuine smile at Kyla. Their plane flight was called, and both girls headed towards the plane for a 7 hour flight back home.)
ON THE PLANE
(Spencer and Ashley sat in their seats. Spencer with a death grip on the seat arms, and Kyla trying not to grin at how ridiculous Spencer looked in this moment. Kyla took her hand, and placed it over Spencer’s giving it a gentle squeeze. The airplane began to take off. Once the plane was in the air, the girls started talking.)
Spencer: So, how is married life?
Kyla: Excellent. And sometimes frustrating. But, I wouldn’t trade it in for anything in the world. I love him and our kids so much. Aiden, is great. He is such a great father to Caleb and Rayne. Your parents are like grandparents to them. Glen and Clay are great too. We all became a tight family once you left. (frowns) But we always felt it was incomplete because we didn’t have you there.

Hm…well I’ve had my suspicions(sp?) about what’s gonna happen since Kyla came to get Spencer but I guess we’ll see if I’m right soon! But I have a pretty good idea about where ur goin with this. Keep up the good work! I love this story.
When Kyla first showed up i thought they were setting her up, but Kyla let it slip…Ash in present tense. I’m glad you’re done moving! I was literally wondering when you were going to update when it popped up. PMS!
i have litterally been praying to have ashley alive in this story.. and kyla just answered my prayers……. hopefully.
I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!! I KNEW IT THE WHOLE DAMN TIME!!! yes everyone else rub i’m rubbing it in ur face, cuz i knew it!!! i absolutely, positively LOVE… L O V E… LOVE this story… u better post soon, cuz the only thing that i cant predict is spencer’s reaction to the truth, and im dying to know how she takes it… will she be pissed? happy? sad? hurt? i dunno, so write now and save me from crazy dreams tonight!!!
