Black Night
I woke up with the sun blazing through my window. My cheek was pressed against a warm, smooth surface. My arm was wrapped around rock-hard abs. Allen. I smiled for a second then dashed out of bed.
"Oh, no…" I whispered. I put some clothes on and brushed my teeth. I ran down the hall to Charlie's room. Snoring, sound asleep. Thank goodness. I got some wrinkle remover from our bathroom cupboard. I sprayed it over Allen shirt. It got the smell of popcorn out and it looked like he just got it out of his drawer. I did the same to his pants. This was routine.
Allen woke up ten minutes later to find me staring at him. i stood by the door to listen for Charlie. He wasn't on duty today so he would definately be sleeping until all hours. Allen smiled.
"Hey," he said. I smiled wider. He stretched, smiled for a second, and then dashed out of my bed like I did. "Oh, no…" he whispered. He stood there, stunned, in his blue boxers. I just kept smiling. He raced around. He pulled on his pants and his shirt. I took one last glance at his abs. *Drool*
He smelled his clothes. "what did you do? they smell brand new!"
I held up the can of wrinkle remover. Before i could tell him what it was he was kissing me. Oh. My. Gosh. I was just about ready to get back in bed when i heard Charlie grunt and stretch. Crap. Allen and i raced down the hall and into the living room silently. We both sat on the couch in time for my dad to walk in.
"Hey Dad!" i shouted at him. He moaned in response. He went into the kitchen to make coffee. I went in there too. Allen following. I grabbed to wooden spoons and started playing drum throughout the kitchen. Allen playfully looked through each cupboard and slammed them after he was done. Charlie clutched his ears and shriveled up into a ball on the floor.
"Make it stop!" he prayed. "Make it stop!"
Me and Allen started cracking up. He was hung-over big time. "See, dad. That's why binge drinking is bad. Your colon or liver or something is gonna shrivel up like you did. Don't they teach that in cop school?" He got up from the floor and poured himself a cup of coffee.
"When did you get so smart, Bells?" he half laughed. "What are you doing here?" he grumbled at Allen jokingly.
"I invited him, dad," i said. i looked at Allen with a huge fake smile, telling him to follow along.
"Is that why i found you in my daughter's bed this morning?"
We both froze. I was sure i was dead and Allen glanced at the door like he was about to make a run for it. We both gave each other quick glances and then stared at the ground. i peeked at Charlie through my bangs. He laughed.
"Calm down, you two. You're too young to have a heart attack, Bella," he laughed. He started walking toward the couch as he kept talking. we followed reluctantly. "you guys don't have to worry about a thing. I'll mind my own business," he put his hand on Allen's shoulder. "but if you get my daughter pregnant, then you better believe i will make sure you take care of her. I have the whole police department on my side, boy, and if you think for once second that you can run from an entire search team, then you have another thing coming." Charlie turned around and plopped on the couch. Allen was about to pass out from my dad talking to him. Charlie quickly got up from the couch and stared at. He looked at us. "you guys didn't…you know…" he pointed at the couch. I rolled my eyes.
"that would be uncomfortable." I took Allen's hand and started leading him to my room as Charlie plopped down again.
"Remember what i said!" he called over his shoulder.
I shook my head and shut the door behind me. "that was…wowwy…" i said.
"No kidding," Allen said. "What do you wanna do now?"
His pants were off in five seconds flat.
