Spencer was worried that something was wrong with Ashley. She had never just all of sudden dropped everything and leave home like that. Spencer had to find out what was going on with her best friend and hoped it wasn’t an end to something or someone. Spencer thought of all different problems, was she sick or her family was she mad at me for something. The thoughts were controlling her movements and she almost missed her exit to the airport. She glanced at the clock and noticed that the plane had already landed. She was not going to be there waiting and was afraid that Ashley would think she wasn’t going to be there. Spencer thought whatever it is I will be glad to see and hold her again.

                Ashley walked into the waiting area, but there was no sign of Spencer. She walked out to the front and walked over to catch a taxi, when all of a sudden she heard that sweet familiar voice she loved so dearly call out her name. Ashley then turned around and as her eyes focused on Spencer, the two smiled at each other. Just as Ashley went to step away from the curb a taxi ran up and hit Ashley pushing her about fifty feet along the sidewalk. There was blood all over the taxi and the sidewalk. People were screaming and running into each other afraid they too were going to get hit. Seeing this spectacle Spencer stared where Ashley’s body was lying and went running toward her knocking every person that was in her way not even apologizing for the rudeness, because at this time Ashley was her only concern. When she came up to Ashley she was covered in blood and not moving. As she was standing there crying, she bent down and held her hand. She then heard a voice and felt a hand touch her shoulder; it was a woman with longish medium brown hair and the kindest eyes. The stranger was dressed in an EMT uniform and pulled Spencer back so that her partner could get to Ashley. Spencer looked at the woman as if she questioning why she should move but the only thing she could voice was, “Why did this happen”?
