Breathe in. Breathe Out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Well I guess you could say that I, Spencer Carlin, am nervous. Today is my 18^th birthday and with all the hype Ashley has been giving it, I’m getting pretty damn excited. It was six, and Ashley was supposed to be picking me up for dinner. I had put on my pre-party outfit…I mean, c’mon…I got to look hot all night. I wore a little black dress my mom had gotten for me. It showed off my curves perfectly and was very low-cut. I let my hair down, in loose curls. I put on my new Chanel ballet flats (compliments of my parents) and looked at myself in the mirror. When I was satisfied, I looked at my watch, to see that it was 6:03. I know she was only 3 minutes late, but I was about to jump out of my own skin.

Finally, I heard a car honk outside impenitently. Hmm, that didn’t sound like the Porsche. And to my surprise, it wasn’t. It was a black Mercedes SLR McLaren (aka Paris Hilton’s car). I almost shit my pants before hopping in the car.

“Oh my god Ashley!” I shrieked, giving her a huge hug. “Where did you get this?”

“I rented it for the night…I guess my inheritance helps!” She responded, before driving away. On Friday, Ashley and Kyla received their inheritance from their dad. 25 million each!

“So…where are we going for dinner?”

“I got us a VIP booth at the Geisha House…” She said, acting like it was no big deal.

“THE GEISHA HOUSE? You mean the one Lauren Conrad from The Hills goes to?”

“Yup. Maybe we will see her there…” Ashley joked. “Since you have a crush on her and all…”

“Hey…she might be cute, but I’m in love with you.” I grabbed her hand, and interlocked our fingers, ready for the best birthday ever.

After an amazing sushi dinner and an autograph from Lauren Conrad herself, I brought Spencer home. Despite all the pouting about arriving to the party by herself, she finally got out of the car.
