    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 10-The Black Parade)

Even though Kyla loves me, I still saw myself as a pointlessly living abomination with no one to truly love me.

Oh no, those foreign ideas are coming back to me and if I keep opening up my mind for that stranger to hi-jack my body again, I’ll be fucking up this entire mission.

"Okay, Aiden why don’t you lead the way since you’re dying to do something noble. Judith and I will follow along with Evana. Arial and Spencer are last because if something takes over Ashley’s body once again, we’ll need Spencer to be alive." Odette bluntly stated, ignoring the fact that she made tears well up in my eyes.

Oh, she’s still on the first floor of the farmhouse so of course she doesn’t know that she offended me. If I die because of my inability to control my developing powers, I’m taking them all with me; I swear on my soul I’m not going to be alone in the journey to an infinite hell.

"Slowly now, we don’t want any loud noise disrupting her…" Aiden whispered, walking up the stairs to where I was supposedly sleeping.

Instead of laying on the cold floor any longer, I decided to wake myself up and amble over to the window twenty feet away from me. It was a cloudy morning and never have I seen such breathtaking beauty before, aside from Spencer.

This farmhouse was in the middle of nowhere but the lush green grass and the oak tree out front made me appreciate its privacy and restricted occupation even more. I decided to sit on an old rocking chair that sat itself against the window and this scene brought back old memories.

I remembered when I was a little girl, about 6 years of age, my dad would sit me on his lap and read me passages from the bible. He would criticize it if he saw something on there he didn’t approve of and I would laugh…

I miss him so much, and my heart wants to break in sadness. Sometimes, memories are all I have left to feel human again but at the same time, immortality has brought me so much happiness and I continue to live in order to learn. It’s wonderful really and if my dad were still around, he’d disapprove of everything I’m doing anyway.
