    “Start talking or I’ll cut them off…. I’ll do it and I’ll enjoy it.”

    The old man walks up to me and says softly, “My name is David Kim. I own a jewelry store in Downtown Los Angeles and I believe I have something that you might want back.”

    I just raise my eyebrow in confusion and ask, “What?”

    He didn’t respond. He just opened his hand and showed me. When I saw it I started shaking and tears started going down my cheeks. It’s her ring! It’s her ring! I can see the color of her eyes when I look at the diamond! I reached out, grabbed it, kissed it and put it on my finger before grabbing the old man by the shirt and screamed, “WHERE IS SHE?!! WHERE IS SHE?!!”

    “ASHLEY LET HIM GO!” Kyla yells at me

    “I WILL AS SOON HE TELLS ME WHERE SHE IS?!” I yell back never taking my eyes off the old man

    The old man grabs my hands on his chest softly and says quietly, “Miss Davies I wish I knew where she is but I don’t. But I will tell you what I know about the ring just calm down.”

    I let go, walk over and sit next to Kyla on the couch and say tearfully, “Tell me everything.”

    He started talk. While he was I just kept looking and playing with her ring on my finger. It felt like I had gotten one very, very small part of her back. I wipe the tears from my face and concentrate on what he’s saying As soon as he finishes I ask in agony, “So you don’t know where she is?”

    “I’m afraid not Miss Davies. But I do have a picture and a video tape of the man that sold me the ring. Maybe that will help in your search. Would you like to see it?” Mr. Kim says hopefully

    I nod my head and he walks over and hands the file folder he’s carrying. I open it and there lies a blown up copy of a driver’s license. My eyes go wide in shock and I roar out, “IT’S GLEN CARLIN!!! IT’S HER FUCKING BROTHER!!”

    James walks over, takes the file from me and asks as he’s looking at it, “Are you sure? This is a black and white copy. It looks a little dark.”
