“we went to her place after the meeting, for a drink and it turned into something else… and I’m sorry, it wasn’t supposed to happen ” Ashley said with tears falling down.

Spencer’s eyes left Ashley’s and looked at what she had done in a few hours and the flowers and the box of candy, it was beautiful. The cooking smell was great. Ashley was hoping for Spencer to forgive her and take her in her arms and tell her that she loved her and everything else imaginable.

Spencer walked over to Ashley, she held her hand and kissed her cheek, but it wasn’t enough. She let go of her hands and walked back to the door and Ashley’s eyes followed. Spencer picked up a big duffle bag, tears running down once again. Ashley was in shock, she didn’t want it to end not like this. She never pictured herself with of Spencer, she couldn’t leave she meant too much to her.

Walking towards Spencer with water leaking her eyes

“Spencer Please don’t leave… I wont be able to survive without you please just stay I need you in my life, Spencer.’

“Ashley I… can’t stay I know that you’re trying but its just … it’s just not right…”

“No Spencer it is, I know it just give it a try please”

walking towards Ashley taking her hands in hers

“Look ask I know that were meant to be but I think we need time apart and it’ll give you the time you the time you need to figure things out about your life and about US, ok. And it hurts knowing that you could go out and find someone else this’ll give you the chance you need to do whatever you want… I’m going home for a little while than I am gonna leave for Virginia.”

“Spence-“

“Ash just know that I wont ever forget you, you’ll always be in my heart”

“Spencer please don’t leave, I wont be able to survive, I just wont’

“ash you know I’ll be here for you when you need me.”

“I know”

Spencer let go of Ashley’s hands and walked to the door with her bag and opened the door, she turned around and went to hug Ashley for the last time and when they were parting Spencer pursed her lips on Ashley’s, when they parted they looked into each others eyes and said everything that needed to be said and with that Spencer turned around and left, with one last look she said

“call me sometime ok”

“ok…Hey Spence”

“ya ash.”

“I love u”

“I know… I know”

With that said she walked out the door with her bag and her head held high, her face full of tears.

In the house Ashley just stood there, she couldn’t believe the love of her life just walked out the door and she could say nothing to stop her. Her mouth a gape, tears coming down her eyes. She fell to the floor and just sat there for hours looking at the door hoping for Spencer to return.

To be real it doesn’t matter anyway
You know it’s just too little too late
