What Nourishes Your Soul? – (Chapter: Chapter Five)

    Chapter Five
“Okay Ash I’ve seen the way you two interact why haven’t you called her yet?”, Kyla said as she watched her sister paced across her living room floor.

Ashley had went over to Kyla’s apartment, hoping to just hang out and distract her from her thoughts about a beautiful blonde. Frustratingly it was no use, she had only been there for a few minutes before Kyla had started in on her.

“It’s Monday Kyla, don’t be dramatic. I’m trying to pick my moment.”, Ashley exclaimed she flopped down onto the couch beside the younger brunette.

“Well, that moment was the next day.”

“I don’t want to rush things.”

Kyla placed a hand on each of her sister’s shoulders, shaking her, “I love you but, stop being a pussy Ashley.” Ashley glared at her words.

“I am not a pussy.”, Ashley spat.

“I’ve never seen you like this before, where did that cockiness you normally have go?”

“I don’t know she makes it disappear.”

“I for one am glad, I hate that side of you. When she is around I’ve noticed the person that I’ve grew to love is there.”, Kyla said smiling as she pat her on the arm.

“Well, I don’t like it. There is no buffer with her.”

“Its nothing but, a defense mechanism with you. You don’t need it.”

“That’s easy for you to say, it’s not you.”

    “Why are you so afraid?”

Ashley took a long deep breath, ”The weirdest thing is that I’ve never missed being with someone until now.”

    “Call her!”, Kyla said sternly.

Ashley shook her head back and forth lightly.

“You know what..scratch that. Go see her.”, Kyla exclaimed watching Ashley face tense up.

“Two problems with that Kyla. One, it’s eleven o’clock at night. Two..and listen cause this is a big one, I don’t know where she lives.”, Ashley said nodding knowing she had won the argument. WRONG!! A huge smile spread across Kyla’s face.

“She owns her a restaurant Ashley, she is most likely still there.”, the young girl said getting up from her seat.

    “No!”

    “Yes!”

    “No!”

“Ashley, Go!”, Kyla said pulling the girl off the couch and pushing her towards the door.

“God..I hate you!”, Ashley exclaimed as she was pushed out the door.
