I Fell In Love With A Straight Girl Ch 4

Her lips, her taste the smell of her hair would seem to haunt me until Monday, when I could just see a glimpse of her.

I was falling fast, but as long as she caught me I would be fine.

After the night in the park, we walked back to her truck hand in hand, our thoughts tangled in each other’s.  The ride home was an easy silent, and I wished her goodnight with a small hug.

She was never backward or scared. Our kiss was short, but sweet, she was perfect to me.

That night I dreamt about her, I dreamt about her knowing all of my dark secrets. Together we were beautiful; together we could change the world.

That Monday was first of what I hope were many that I woke up on time. I spent less then 30 minutes in the shower and enjoyed a breakfast with Tina and Bette.

“This is a unusual occurrence.” Bette said as I sat down to eat.

“Well, sometimes it’s just a great feeling to wake up on time.” I joked as I grabbed some toast.

“Sorry I didn’t ask about your date on Saturday, but how was it?”

I was sure I had the biggest grin on my face as I told Bette about   it, even the kiss.

Bette looked at me with a strange look on her face. “ You must really like this girl.” She said with a serious tone. “I’ve never seen you act like this.”

“That’s just it Bette, she’s different from the rest, and I want to show her that.”

Tina smiled at me, they were so used to me being a closed off brick wall. I wanted to be happy and I wanted everyone to see it.

I grab my bag for school and wished my roommates a good day.

“Good luck!” they both called from the table as I made my way out the door.

I walked with a fast paste to get to her locker, I wasn’t sure what I was going to say, maybe I would just say hi then walk away.  In my hand I held a paper flower I made last night. Just a small thing to remind her of me. I made my way around the conner to her locker.
