From the moment Jenny saw Marina, Jenny was captivated with her exotic looks, brazen attitude, and her sexy voice. Like a rabbit hopping in a field, Jenny got caught in the snare and could not get out. No matter how much or how often she denied her attraction, even after yielding to it, Marina was like a cosmic force drawing her in and taking control. This very powerful and strategic, emotional chess game carried on for a couple of months before Jenny could no longer fight or deny the spell Marina had some how cast upon her. She finally and completely relinquished herself to Marina even though she was still very much in love with Tim and in spite of her now sexual confusion.

The angst of fighting her feelings and attraction to Marina began to wear on Jenny and soon she could no longer lie and pretend to what she was feeling. Tim felt the turbulent current of the ebb and flow in their relationship and began paying more attention to the red flags that waved in front of him. He queued in to his inner most fears and acknowledged that there was something terribly wrong between he and Jenny. He loved her in a way that surpassed his feelings for any other woman and couldn’t wait for her to be with him in LA. The months of pining for his waif, dark-haired beauty had ended when she’d completed Graduate School to join him and prepare for their future. He’d remained faithful to her in spite of the many distractions from the overtly flirtatious college girls all too willing to show him a good time or improve their grade somehow. But he held out for Jenny. Jenny Schecter, a woman who at this point wasn’t sure he knew or understood. His world was truly on its axis, and reluctantly agreed to allow Jenny the freedom to explore her conflicted emotions. They made an agreement that she had to tell him when she and Marina were going to be or were intimate with each other, and she had to share that same agreement with Marina. Marina immediately accepted what she saw as a challenge although she desired to have Jenny all to herself. Never one to settle for anything less than what she wanted, forced Marina to compromise in a manner that was almost alien to her. However, she thrived on the Pied Piper effect she had over Jenny and couldn’t or wouldn’t let it go. The power play had begun between she and Tim, and she would vie for Jenny will the skill and determination of a Gladiator.
