    What happened in Shane’s past? And how did all the characters really meet?

    Chapter 1.

     

    Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did (1510)   

     

    The cold white wash walls of the hall gave the young girl her first clue she would not be happy here.

     

    “I don’t even see why I have to stay here” A young girl moaned as she dragged her bag along the floor of the corridor.

     

    “You know why” The gentle voice of the older woman replied.

     

    “She didn’t mean what she said, she was drunk. You’ll see she’ll be here next week to pick me up” The young girl said smugly, finally picking her bag up and throwing it over her shoulder.

     

    “Ok well until then your gonna be sharing with another girl”

     

    “What bunking up? No way man”

     

    “You don’t have choice Alex, there isn’t enough room for you to have a single”

     

    “Then let me go home” The young girl begs, her mask slowly slipping.

     

    The older women stops outside one of the bedroom doors. “I’m sorry Alex, but this is for the best” She says opening the door.

     

    “Oh man” Alex sighs.

     

    They both walk into the small bedroom, where another young girl is sitting on one of the beds. The room is basic with 4 white walls and 2 single beds against either wall with one wardrobe.

     

    “I’ve got a room mate now?” The voice says. “Nice to be kept in the loop” She groans heavily.

     

    “Yeah well your not the only one who isn’t best pleased about it” Alex says throwing her bag on the ground.

     

    “Alex” The woman says resting her hand on the girls shoulder, the young girl turns round slowly taking her eyes off her new room mate. “This is the 5th foster home I’ve managed to get you into, if you get thrown out of this one” She sighs sadly. “They will send you to juvenal detention” 

     

    “I just want to go…”

     

    “Home” The woman finishes. “I know and I wish I could send you home but believe me when I say you’ll thank me when you’re older for taking you out of that environment”
