    Forgetting Chap3

Tina stood behind the couch Kit and Bette were on, listening to the selected words that came to her ears before the music drowned them out. The drink in her hand smelt putrid but tasted rather pleasant, which she couldn’t quite understand. Her friends were now asking if she’d like a refill. Although she was sure her lips formed the word ‘no’, Tina must’ve nodded, evident by watching Dana disappear into the kitchen. At least, she thought it was Dana. Turning her head around the room, images were fuzzy and slower than usual. It seemed that Tina’s senses were fading. And fast. It was time to sit down. She crashed into the recliner in the corner, receiving smirks from Alice. Shane popped up in front of her and gently inquired as to her state. Tina replied with one syllable words. Recognising genuine concern in her friend’s tone, she sat up and managed a sentence to her defence.

“Shane. I’m fine. And even ifff I’m not, I’m my in house. I’m in my own house. If I pass out, it will be in my own bathroom. No taxi or creepy bouncers. I’m safe here.” Tina repeated the last sentence slowly, whether to emphasise it or whether because she couldn’t get it out any faster was anyone’s guess. Then she touched her friend’s arm. “Thanks for looking out for me. I just needed this.” She blinked. Taking her cue, Shane moved away which allowed Dana to place a half empty glass into Tina’s hand.

“Don’t think I didn’t notice, Fairbanks.” A lazy smile formed on Tina’s lips. Tina raised her glass to Dana and she mirrored the action to the blonde, but turned back to the group to drink.

                “I got busted.”

“It’s fine Dana. It was a good try. Come on you guys, I think she’ll be okay. She’s got Bette to look after her.” Alice attempted to dull the situation.

Dana made a look and retorted, “Yeah coz Bette is in such great condition herself.”

The three of them turned to view their other hostess’s behaviour, which appeared very sluggish as she endeavoured to continue communicating with Kit. Alice cocked her head to one side.

    1. well sorry you feel your story is moving slow but I like it at the speed it’s going, of course I wish you posted sooner but I will live, so is your story going to follow bettes cheating or are you going to have them work through it??

    2. thanks for the comment CR00 and no I wont be following Bette’s cheating, my story, however short, puts more closure on the girls handling of the loss of the baby (that and becoz I havent seen season 2 yet! doh!) Is that what you’d like to read? Maybe I should take requests… that way I’d get more ideas lol

    3. That was an amazingly emotional chapter… i too love the pace. Maybe you should carry on with your own ideas for this story and then do another one for the cheating part… i think you would write that so well with all the beautiful emotions you put into your writing. just a thought…

    4. Very touching. Getting drunk is sometimes the answer for one night. It sure seemed to help here. I like the pace and am not adverse to there being no cheating. I’m half way through S2 and this story is much better. LOL
