My L Word – Lose and Learn II [Ep 6]
Kit caught sight of Benjamin Bradshaw. He smiled at her and began making his way towards her. Kit, on the other hand, squirmed her way out of the crowd to avoid Benjamin.
“Kit, wait!”
He managed to catch hold of her arm.
“Kit, listen to me.”
Kit turned around and looked at him defiantly.
“What?”
“Will you please listen? I have talked to my wife about this, about us. And she’s agreed to that a divorce would be the best thing for
me and her.”
Kit looked at Benjamin in disbelief. She did not know what to say.
“Benjamin, look, I am not going to wreck up your marriage like that. Go back to your wife. Your kids need you.”
“No, Kit, I need you.”
Kit wriggled to get herself free and she made her way through the crowd, into the office. Benjamin watched her leave and he felt completely disheartened. Kit sat on the armchair of her office and heaved a big sigh. Then she started crying. She loves Benjamin Bradshaw and losing him was more than she could take. She thought of her father, whom she had lost to cancer. She thought of her son, who have been hostile towards her all those years. She thought of Benjamin Bradshaw and how much care he’ve showered her. She couldn’t lose him, yet she couldn’t risk him losing his family. Kit was certainly in a big dilemma. She decided to take some time off to sort out her thoughts. She sat on the armchair and pondered for a long time before she finally reached for the phone.
“Hello Marina.”
“Hi Kit, what’s up?”
“I was just thinking if you would like to run The Planet for the next month or so. I think I’ll be going away for awhile.”
There was a pause on the other end before Marina replied, “That would be great.”
“Well, in terms of money, whatever you earn at that month will be yours okay, Marina?”
“Sounds good.” Marina replied, sounding pleased.
“Okay that’s set then. Would you kindly come down tomorrow morning?”
“Kit, is anything wrong? Why are you leaving so hastily?”
“No,no I’m fine. Don’t you worry. I just need some time to sort out my personal life.”

This is an awesome story! I so love Marina, but what’s she doing with this Heidi person if her and Jenny are doing so much better? I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got cooking. Please don’t leave us hanging for too long. Thanks.
I love Marina stories, so I obviously loved this one.
Oh Marina, how I miss you so… Great story.
