Veronica’s Pov

It was almost time to board our plane. Everyone looked so excited, but I have to admit I was a little nervous.  I know my boss called and talked to the airline, but I didn’t want Kyla to see anything if they decided they wanted to hassle me for what I had to take with me. Or if they decided to not let me go at all. I didn’t want to explain anything to her. I’m actually not really allowed to explain. I wouldn’t want to lose her if she saw anything questionable and I couldn’t answer her. I would hate it if she felt she couldn’t trust me. We were next in line to be checked by security. I had to do something quickly, so Kyla wouldn’t be near me.

Veronica: “Hey, I need to go to the bathroom. I will meet you on the plane, ok?”
Kyla: “I could wait for you.”
Veronica: “Nah, it’s fine. You can go ahead and grab our seats.”
Kyla: “Alright.”

I kissed her on the cheek and I walked away towards the bathroom. I didn’t REALLY have to go, but I didn’t want to look like a liar. I was trained to be a good liar. I just didn’t want to use those skills on Kyla. She deserved better than that.

Kyla’s Pov

Spencer, Ashley, and I were finished getting checked and we were ready to board the plane. I looked back and Veronica seemed to have brought a little attention to herself. Security was talking to her and she pulled something out of her back pocket. She flashed it to them and they left her alone. That’s weird. I stood there and waited for her. They didn’t even search her bags or make her go through the metal detector. I didn’t have time to question it. I just wanted this trip to be fun, though I do admit I am curious. She came walking over to me and she looked a little uneasy. I smiled at her.

Kyla: “You ready to go?”
Veronica: “Yes, Ma’am.”

She smiled back at me and we all boarded the plane.

Ashley’s Pov

The flight wasn’t that long, but I was tired. I spent all day in school and all evening on a plane. I was ready to lay around the cabin with Spencer. I booked a cabin instead of a hotel room. This way we would be right at the mountain. I wasn’t about to share one with Kyla and Veronica. I heard enough of them that first night, so I made them get their own Cabin. The taxi dropped Spencer and I off at outside of our cabin and we pulled all of the luggage out of it. Spencer attempted to carry hers inside, but I wouldn’t allow it. I unlocked the door and swept her off of her feet. I walked across the room and gently sat her down on the couch.
