Spencer’s Pov

Ashley demanded I go shopping, so after school that’s where we are headed. For now I will have to sit through my lit class. It wasn’t a pain or anything. I really liked reading and even writing. When I think of my future and my career it is the only thing I can imagine myself doing without getting bored or annoyed. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do with it, but something will eventually come to mind. The class was coming to an end, so we had time to ourselves. The teacher told us to use this time to catch up in the book we were reading as a class, but I already read ahead. Actually I finished the book a few days ago, so I guess I could sit and day dream for the last few minutes.

I can’t believe my mom freaked out so badly when Madison claimed Ashley was gay. Yeah it’s true, but it isn’t a bad thing. Thankfully I have my dad. When I come out I want to tell him first. He has always been more open minded than my mother. Bringing it up is going to be the hardest part. I had the perfect opportunity to tell my mom too. I’m glad I didn’t get mad and tell her I was with Ashley. I would rather lie about us a little longer just so I could go on this trip with Ashley. I probably shouldn’t tell my mom about it until I am at least 18. Preferably moved out of the house. I’m not going to risk anyone keeping me away from Ashley.

The bell snapped me out of my thoughts and I gathered my things to leave. As soon as I stepped out of the classroom I saw Ashley. She was waiting for me right outside..

Ashley: “Hello, Beautiful.”
Spencer: “Hello, Gorgeous.”
Ashley: “Ready to go?”
Spencer: “If I have to.”
Ashley: “Yes, you do.”

She reached in my arms for my books and carried them for me. She really was a sweet heart. I really don’t know how people can’t see that Ashley and I are a couple. Sure we don’t kiss or anything while we are at school, but other than that we don’t try to hide our relationship. I actually think I am 100% comfortable with it now. I don’t want to keep Ashley a secret at all. Just as long as my mom and Glen don’t find out I am ok with everyone else in the whole world knowing. I don’t know what I was so worried about. I am the luckiest girl alive to be dating Ashley Davies.
