Spencer’s Pov

I sat in my room for 10 minutes waiting to hear back from my parents. Had I known it would take this long I would have called Ashley to kill the time. It was only 10 minutes, but it was the slowest 10 minutes I have felt in a very long time.

I heard a gentle knocking on my door and I told who ever it was to come in.

Arthur: “Your mother is a tough one to crack.”
Spencer: “So, I can’t go?”
Arthur: “I didn’t say that. I 100% think you should go. I didn’t ease up on it.”
Spencer: “Wait, So I can go?”
Arthur: “Who are we to ruin a great Christmas gift like that?”

I felt my eyes light up. I jumped off the bed and attacked my dad with a hug.

Arthur: “ I love you to Spencer”

I felt him kiss the top of my head.

Spencer: “I need to call Ashley. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!”
Arthur: “I’ll give you your privacy.”

He walked out of the room and I called Ashley as quickly as I could.

Ashley’s Pov

Spencer called to tell me the great news.

Ashley: "Well, at least now we can go without fear of you being grounded for the next year."
Spencer: "I know. My dad is so great."
Ashley: " I hate to cut our conversation short, but I have a lot of planning to do. I need to talk to Kyla and Call my dad. Get plane tickets, Passport. Go shopping."
Spencer: "Wait, shopping? Don’t you already have ENOUGH clothes?"
Ashley: "Never. and you don’t wither. So I’m getting you all new clothes to go on the trip."
Spencer: "Ashley, I can’t let you do that. You know I feel weird having so much money spent on me."
Ashley: "Spencer PLEASE!?!? I know you aren’t with me for the money. You love me for me. I know you  aren’t some gold digger. So please?"
Spencer: "I don’t know, Ash."
Ashley: "What else am I going to spend all this money on? You realize I have more of it than I even know what to do with."
Spencer: "Fine, fine. You win."
Ashley: "I always do. Bye Spencer. I love you."
Spencer: "I love you too."

I ran off to Kyla’s room to tell her Spencer was on board.

Ashley: "Kyla, great news. Spencer gets to come."
Kyla: "That’s amazing!"
Ashley: "So, what about your girl?"
Kyla: "We need to give her exact details asap so she can ask off of work."
Ashley: "Where does she work?"
Kyla: "With children?"
Ashley: "That really narrows it down."
Kyla: "Anyway lets get to planning. I want to give her an answer by today."
Ashley: "Alright, lets do this."

Veronica’s Pov

My cell started to go off. I loved seeing Kyla’s name pop up on the ID.

Veronica: "Hello, Kyla"
Kyla: "Hey, we have all the details worked out for the trip."
Veronica: "And they are?"

She spent 5 minutes filling me in on every last little detail. Three days in Canada. 7 in London. Meet a famous rock star. She even tried to pay my way, but I simply can’t let her do that. I know she is rich, but I would still rather pay her way than for her to pay mine. Plus, we still haven’t decided what we were to each other. We are dating, so for now that’s good enough for me. And I don’t see her asking anyone else to go across the country with her. I must be a little special to her at least.

I picked up my phone and called work to request a 10 day vacation.

Man they are real hard asses. I get to go, but I still have assignments to do while I’m away. That’s my job for ya. They even went ahead and talked to the airlines about me. There are certain things normal people aren’t allowed to take on planes, but they insist that I do. I’m not going to complain, because at least I can still go.
