“What!” I groan and roll away from Spencer as she addresses the knocking at her bedroom door.

“Are you guys decent?” I hear Jordan yell through the door.

“Ugh…what time is it?” I ask Spencer, ignoring Jordan.

“Um…seven…” What the fuck could she possibly want at seven in the morning? “You can come in!” Spencer says after putting on a T-Shirt and making sure I’m covered up as well.

I bury my face in my pillow as I listen to Jordan open the bedroom door. She climbs onto the bed and lie in the space between me and Spencer, on top of the cover we’re under.

“Um…Jay, I love you and all…” I start after lying in silence with my girlfriend and her best friend for a couple of minutes. “But this is a little awkward.”

“Why? Is it because we’re not having sex?”

“Ew… no…you’re like a sister to me.” I tell her. “So the fact that you’re in bed with us and I don’t have on any pants is a little weird.” I explain.

“Well, I need comfort.”

“Because?” Spencer finally talks.

“I broke up with Michael.” She says in a small voice.

“What?” I turn around to face her.

“Jay…” Spencer pulls Jordan into a hug. “Tell us about it?”

“Not right now.” Jordan lays her head on Spencer shoulder and I grab her free hand. I know we’re a touchy bunch.

“Whenever you’re ready, just let it spill.” I whisper and close my eyes again.

First thing I notice when I wake up again is that Spencer’s not next to me. But then again I wasn’t really expecting her to be. I always sleep in unless I have somewhere to be.

After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I make my way into the kitchen.

“…Are you allowed to go to the strip club?” Okay, defiantly walked into the middle of a crazy conversation. Spencer looks at my sister, who I thought went home yesterday.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Spencer questions. Spencer’s back is to me, so she hasn’t seen me yet.

“Hello…you’re married.” Brooke points at me. I drape my arms around Spencer’s shoulder and give her a loud, wet kiss on the cheek.

“Morning guys!” In response I get a head nod, a smile, and some eye rolling. “What are we talking about this morning?” I smile and pick bacon off of Spencer’s plate.
