My Summer of Love – (Chapter Fifteen: The Big, Not So Secret Anymore)

    Chapter Fifteen

    Spencer’s Story

"…Hello?" I answered, my phone waking me up.

"Spencer, Maire, Carlin!!" My best friend Michelle shouted on the other end, I pulled the phone away from my ear.

"Goog Morning, Michelle.." I said still half asleep.

"Good morning? That’s it? Heellloo, you came into town last night and I’ll you have to say is good morning?! Why didn’t you call me?" She asked diappointed.

"I’m sorry, I was tired and I had to have dinner with the family." I explained.

"Yeah, yeah, okay well get up, get ready and meet me at the doc at ten okay! I missed you, I want to hear all about your summer, okay?" She asked in excitment.

"Okay Michelle, I’ll see you soon, bye." I said then hung up.

Once again with the whole, "tell me all about your summer." Well if you’re wondering, I managed to skip through telling my family that I’m gay and Ashley is my girlfriend last night at dinner. I mean they do know about Ash, they just don’t know the big secret, we’re together. I really don’t want to hide it though. I don’t want it to be a secret. So you know what, since Michelle wants to know all about my summer, I’m going to tell her, no hiding back. I mean she is my best friend, we tell each other everything. I just hope she’s ready to hear about my summer of love.

After getting out of bed and getting ready, I told my parents I was meeting Michelle at the doc. I said goodbye, left the house, and started to walk down the dirt road. The doc is probably what you’re thinking it is. It’s a small part of the lake Michelle and I found once when we were little and liked taking long walks. Exploring, I guess you could say. Its really beautiful and peacefull, and it’s where we spend most our time.

When we were little, we use to bring a portable radio and listen to country as we swam and swung from the tree swing. When we got older, we would sit with our legs dangling off, with the water up to our shins and talk about the cutest boys in school. But things are about to change. A new kind of history is going to be added to our spot we grew up at.

    1. I really hope she understands! But I know she will and I agree with stacala25 because it’s true, if she doesn’t understand then she’s not a true best friend! :)

    2. I for one love your story and as far as I can tell a lot of other people do too. So you better keep it going or you’ll have a lot of unhappy readers on your hands. I hope Spencer’s friend takes her news well. Excellent update. PMASAP!!!

    3. Well beautiful..that chapter was actually pretty damn good. I love this chapter alot. Well if her best friend has a problem with Spence being gay then she’s not really her best friend. I’m sure things will be cool, because I know for sure that you’re gonna continue this story. This story is too good for you not to continue…atleast think about keeping this story going because otherwise I’m gonna be really upset =*( Your an amazing writer babygirl, and if people can’t see that then its there problem. =) Keep up the good work because your doing a fantastic job!!!! I can’t wait for the next chapter.
