In the mix – (Chapter: Two)
“You forgot to tell them to lock the door…”
Chapter 2
Spencer quickly turned, intending to retreat back into the room, but the cool metal on her neck stopped her. Immediately, she froze, unsure of what to do in this situation.
“Tell your friends to come on out here.” The woman said, just before Spencer whirled around to meet a gun, face to face. She arched her eyebrows at this woman who was damn near a foot shorter than her. Her eyes were not brown as she first thought, they were more greenish.
“What makes you think there’s anyone in there?” Spencer questioned, hoping that the two girls in the bathroom heard her. The woman’s voice was like steel when she answered again.
“Don’t fucking play games with me. Open the damn door.” Still, Spencer shook her head and refused to move.
“No.” Spencer said. The shorter woman violently pushed her out of the way. Not one to be pushed around, Spencer shoved her back, not caring about the gun anymore. She didn’t know who could have appeared in the short ten seconds that they were fighting, but before she knew what was happening, a gun went off.
Spencer immediately stopped and waited for the pain to hit her. She didn’t know if she had been hit or not. In the next instant, the bathroom door flew open, sending Spencer backwards to land on top of Madison. Madison yelped and pushed Spencer off of her. Both girls leaped to their feet just as Madison started panicking.
“We heard a gun shot! Are you okay?! I’m glad it wasn’t me!” Madison said everything without taking a breath. Chelsea came to stand by them as she nodded her head towards the two women.
Spencer looked for the person who had fired the shot. Seeing her made Spencer’s anger flare as she marched over to her.
“What the hell did you think you were doing firing that shot?” Spencer asked, not caring if they were in control of the situation. The woman stepped back a little as if surprised by Spencer’s boldness. “Somebody could’ve been killed.” The woman’s eyes darkened to a darker shade of brown.
