Aiden: “So how did the thing with Spencer go?” He asked Ashley as they walked to sit at a table before school started.

Ashley: “I really don’t want to talk about it.” Aiden gave her a I don’t give a damn look. “Fine, I asked her what she wanted and she said that she’d rather be with Sherry.” Ashley eyes watered as she relived the event in her head, but she refused to let the tears fall.

Aiden: “What but Sherry treats her like shit why would she choose her over you?”

Ashley: “I said the same thing. She said it was because she knew what she was getting with Sherry but with me it was all a mystery. I don’t know. It was really just some lame excuse. I don’t even care anymore I’m don’t with her shit. It’ll be a cold day in hell before I take her back.” Just then a guy holding two-dozen red roses came up. He looked down at the card before he spoke.

Delivery Guy: “Are you Ashley Davies?” He said looking down at Ashley.

Ashley: “Umm yeah I am.” She said skeptically.

Delivery Guy: “Well these are for you.” He slowly placed the glass vase on the table and gave her a clipboard to sign. After she signed her name he turned to walk away before she stopped him.

Ashley: “Who did these come from?” Ashley said while looking around the roses trying to find a card.

Delivery Guy: “I knew I was forgetting something.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small card wrapped in an envelope. That read: My dearest Ashley I know I’ve messed up but give me a chance to make things right.

Ashley wanted to throw the flowers away but something in her heart kept her from doing it. She picked up the vase and walked to her Expedition and placed the roses in the back of the truck and walked back over to Aiden.

Aiden: “So who were those from?” Just before Ashley could answer the bell rang signaling that she needed to get to first period. The class was boring as usual until another delivery guy came in asking for Ashley. The teacher looked at her annoyed and pointed the delivery guy in her direction. This time instead of the Roses being red they were orange. This delivery guy had remembered to give Ashley her card. This one read.
